By my count we already have 16 (if we are letting 3 brand new guys play).

10 more!

bondom34 should be signing up soon. He's a rookie but I vouch for him 100%. He's an OKC team board Mod and one of the best regulars on the main Trade Board.

Maybe try and post on the TnT board to gauge interest? I know that worked last game

It's been less than a day. I'm going to let the vets of this game get a chance before posting for new guys on the T&T board. There's already a sticky thread there anyway. We only need 9 more anyway.

I deleted two posts that were nothing but profanity-laced images.

Be mad at me for being a fun-killer all you want, but I will not allow any offensive content on forums I moderate. Let this be an informal warning for everyone. I will issue formal warnings/give breaks if it happens again.

Zero Tolerance on that kind of thing. It adds nothing and makes some people uncomfortable. So don't do it.

I just sent over 200 + emails to old vets playing GMAT before.

Yahoo prolly thinks I'm a spammer in Africa trying to bust little old ladies bank account info.

Hope it helps attract some good old players!

I'm trying!

Hey Guys,

First and foremost sorry for having to leave last game. If I knew that tehgreatest wouldn't end up taking over OKC, I would have never done it. Things were getting crazy in my life, and I saw an opportunity for a win-win, which unfortunately didn't work out as planned. Work has really picked up for me over the past few weeks, and I should continue to be very busy. For this reason, I didn't plan on playing in the next GMAT.

That said, this game is different, so I'm very intrigued. Some questions...

1. How is the random draft being handled? NBA2k?

2. Will there be anyway to prevent the draft from drafting a team of all guards (or all bigs, etc). This could negatively effect a team, and players might overlook this in initial rankings.

3. Will player salaries / contracts be looked at in the initial rankings? For example, if I have J-Smoove on my team, will players take his negative contract into account?

4. Is it possible to Co-GM with somebody else. I am interested in playing, but I want to avoid being "that guy" again and having to leave due to external factors. I also wouldn't want to be blacklisted, but I'm sure we'll go back to GMATs and OATs after this game and was hoping to try something new.

5. Do teams start with all their picks? For example, even though there is a completely random draft, playing as the Knicks or Nets would be a disadvantage since they've been mortgaging their future in real life for years.

I wanted to do some rankings and feedback for the last game, but I was away all weekend at the final four (great games, RIDICULOUS stadium...heartbreaker for all you Badger fans). I know winners are already announced, but some quick tidbits.

LAL - Ness, why do you keep playing these games? Aren't you tired of dominating lol? Obviously an impressive team you pulled together, and I know this one was personal because you're a Laker fan. Please...next normal GMAT, fix the Knicks for me (I'm tired of being the laughing stock of the league)

MIN - Without a doubt you were my #1 enemy in this game. You did well with what you started with, but I think doing too many trades was costly for you. I thought you had a better team at certain points in the game than what you ended up with. Great job regardless.

ORL - Honestly, I LOVE your starting line up. From strictly a basketball perspective, I think the team fits together like a glove, and the youth meshed with some veterans will give the West powerhouses something to look out for (To anybody who watches Game of Thrones, Orlando is the Daenarys Targarean of the league...hiding under the radar and about to take over the Western teams. I guess Ness and the Lakers are House Lannister)

PHI - I didn't think much of your team early on, even after you acquired BG and CP3. However after checking out what you ended up with...WOW. Personally, I think your team is better than the Lakers. The depth is unreal, and your youth will go along way in the future.

MIA - Since doing 2014 free agencies, I don't think we've seen a Miami successfully hold onto Lebron yet. That said, I did like the changes you made to the original team in an effort to keep winning. I also liked the rebuilding squad you ended up with.

DAL - Mad respect for trying to ride Dirk out for another ring. I respect loyalty, and thought you did a great job. I ranked you higher each season, but apparently others saw your team differently.

Best trade:

Really liked Ness acquiring Jimmy Butler for a bunch of picks, and then flipping that into the 2nd best center in the league. Ness, you're crazy.

Also gotta respect the 3 way deal that sent PG to GSW, Splash Bros to LAL, and Deron and co. to Memphis.
"Follow your nose wherever it goes."

Read through the rules thread 1-3 are answered there.

4) ...I mean if you can get another GM willing to do that, then I don't see why not... but if you're not going to be around, you may want to put your name down as an alternate.

5) Yes, for the most part. Check the rules thread, as there are a couple compensation picks that change hands based on the state of your roster.

Trading should begin in about 2-3 days, assuming we get enough guys in by tomorrow night. You can put your name down as an alt if you like
