Post#1 » by roc » Mon Feb 23, 2015 2:41 am

Write Ups

DEADLINE TO GET IN YOUR WRITE UP = TUE FEB 24th, 8PM EST.

get them posted before thread = locked

IF you do not get a Write Up in you will not be eligible to participate in the Ratings nor will you be eligible to win this season of the game.

IF your ROSTER is NOT completely UP to DATE with ALL required info you will NOT get any prize money.

Make sure to post all pertinent info including original starting roster and assets (picks started with, net money previously owed or earned, etc. all of which can be found on spreadsheet) that will be rated on either a 1-5 or 1-10 point system. You will need to have all your financial info up to date for each season. Team salary spent during each season, coach salaries for all seasons, amnesty amounts for all seasons, Lux Tax numbers, TV Money, Arena Money, etc. will all need to be listed in Finance section.

Lux Tax numbers, TV Money, & Arena Money are listed in the Financial News thread so make sure to read it in order to get your required numbers.

MAKE SURE that ALL your roster info is COMPLETELY up to date

also

For those that finish Write Ups and Rankings not only will you be guaranteed to keep your team; you will earn $30 mil when/if you return next season.

RATING SYSTEM

Rating system will be based on points, low points = worst/high points = best

IF teams are tight at the top or bottom then use your best judgement as more than one team can have best/worst score.
IF one team stands above all others in a particular category then they should be the only one to receive the highest score.
IF one team is worse than all others in a particular category then they should be the only one to receive the lowest score.

CATEGORIES

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)
2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)
3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)
4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)
5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)
6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)
7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)
8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)
9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

10 reasons why I deserve to win:

1. I lead my team into the Finals.
2. I have the best front court in the NBA in the Gasol brothers.
3. While I put my team in a win-now position, my team still has lots of room to improve in the off-season. After including Marc and Jimmy's caphold, I will still have a max contract space to attract a top tier FA and form a big 4 with Jimmy, Pau and Marc.
4. Not only I have one of the best defensive teams in the league, but I also have one of the most balanced team.
5. While I decided to go all-in, I still maintain loads of future draft picks - with 5 1st rounds picks in aggregate till the 2019 draft (i.e., 1 1st per each draft on average) and stockpile 8 second rounders.
6. Not only this team can win now, but can also win in the future with the collection of young players that I have (Knight, Jimmy, Henson).
7. I was never afraid to pull the trigger to make trades, and have made good ones from time to time.
8. While I am one of the lux tax payers, I only barely exceeded the lux tax line ($4.9M), that is considered a very low amount, especially for a team that makes the Finals.
9. I maintain super active during the whole game and have bombarded everyone with trade suggestion.
10. I have followed the deadlines and have not violated any rules in the game. None.

Now, I will rate my own performance using the 10 categories:

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

My take: 9 / 10

What I had before:
PG: Rose / Brooks
SG: Butler / Hinrich / Moore
SF: Dunleavy / Snell / McDermott
PF: Pau / Mirotic / Bairstow
C: Noah / Taj / Nazr

What I have now:
PG: Brandon Knight / Jeremy Lin / Aaron Brooks
SG: Jimmy Butler / JR Smith / Brian Roberts
SF: Jeff Green / Thaddeus Young / Wesley Johnson
PF: Pau Gasol / Marreese Speights / Anthony Tolliver
C: Marc Gasol / John Henson / Ekpe Udoh

Not only I have upgraded my starters (Noah to Marc, Dunleavy to Jeff Green, and Rose to Knight (which is a lateral move at worst)), but I have vastly improved my bench with plenty of scoring options (Lin, JR Smith, Young, Speights) while not losing any step defensively (Henson, Young, Johnson, Udoh).

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)

My take: 4 / 5

I have changed my head coach to Thibs to SVG. Thibs have proved to be a regular season coach who runs his players into the ground, while SVG has history in leading his team deep in the playoffs.

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)

My take: 4 / 5

While I have to pay the lux tax, the amount is really low among the contenders, and I got TV income by going deep in the playoffs.

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

My take: 5 / 5

Chicago is a big market and we will run deep in the playoffs in the considerable future.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)

My take: 8 / 10

While I put my team in a win-now position, my team still has lots of room to improve in the off-season. After including Marc and Jimmy's caphold, I will still have a max contract space to attract a top tier FA and form a big 4 with Jimmy, Pau and Marc.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

My take: 6 / 10

Yes, I do not have a 2015 1st. However, while I decided to go all-in, I still maintain loads of future draft picks - with 5 1st rounds picks in aggregate till the 2019 draft (i.e., 1 1st per each draft on average) and stockpile 8 second rounders.

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)

My take: 5 / 5

I have one of the most balanced team in the league.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)

My take: 4 / 5

Pau and Marc may get some time off each annually, but the rest of the roster is relatively healthy.

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

My take: 4 / 5

My starting lineup have the Gasol brothers, two Bulls and two Grizzlies.

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)

My take: 9 / 10

I got into the Finals.

Total Score: 58 / 70

Write up:

We traded Lebron. I shouldn't even need to type anything else.

Detroit is a preanial bottom feeder.

We added the most talented center in the NBA is Cousins averaging 24 and 13 locked into a long term contract.

We also added a third all star in Rajon Rondo.

Lastly we added a fourth nice piece our young SG in Dion Waiters.

Obviously our time is this offseason coming up where we will have Cousins, Lebron and Max cap.

In conclusion, we TRADED for not signed Lebron James. We traded for DeMarcus Cousins, we traded for Rondo.

We upgraded from Jennings to Rondo, KCP to Waiters, Drummond to Cousins and Caron Butler to Lebron James.

Edit: and the second best coach in the league too! Thibs!!!

The end.

Go Emperors.

Spoiler:
I started with:
PG: Russell Westbrook / Reggie Jackson
SG: Kevin Martin / Dion Waiters / Anthony Morrow / Jeremy Lamb
SF: Kevin Durant / Andre Roberson / Perry Jones
PF: Serge Ibaka / Nick Collison / Grant Jerrett
Cc: Nikola Peković / Steven Adams / Kendrick Perkins / Mitch McGary

And ended with:
PG: Russell Westbrook / Patrick Beverly
SG: James Harden / Iman Shumpert / Tony Snell
SF: Kevin Durant / Corey Brewer / Andre Roberson / Chase Budinger
PF: Serge Ibaka / Nick Collison / Adriean Payne
Cc: Nikola Pekovic / Samuel Dalembert

My rankings:
Spoiler:
1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

9/10 - We changed Waiters and Perkins into James Harden and Nikola Peković. We added more Shump, Brewer, and Beverly to the second unit to be the defense stoppers when they are called on.

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)

3/5

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)

4/5 - I am a lux team at the moment but we won it all for the rewards are paying off the risks.

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

4/5 - This team had a slight net income this year but that is because of moving them to Minny. But, this team should be going to the playoffs year in and year out so money should keep coming.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)

8/10 - All my main guys are still 'young' and I have 3 of the top 10 talent in the league. But, my competition can get better.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

7/10 - I do not have my pick in '15 and '18 but since I am going to be making runs as the best team in league, I will be drafting later in the first round anyways.

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)

Offense - 4/5
Defense - 4/5

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)

4/5

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

5/5 - I did not mess with the core and brought back the missing piece (Harden).

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)

10/10 - NBA Champions

Total of cat 1 - 10 = 62/70

The Whitewalkers was the best team in the league during the regular season and during the playoffs. All the main guys are locked up and we are only going to get better.

Pacers

Total breakdown
Spoiler:
The team building philosophy of the Pacers is to build a team keeping in mind their are two sides of the court and only 1 ball. This means gathering unselfish players who can play both ways and be threats on the court even when the ball is not in their hands.

Players we traded
West, Hill, and Hibbert are nice players, but all are overpaid under the current CBA. Hilbert, the best of the 3 is limited as a scorer, rebounded, and defending in space and therefore clashes with our philosophy of complete players. For all three players we got positive value in picks for negative trade value players.

Players we traded for
This year, only Jusuf Nurkic in the Hibbert trade. Nurkic is only a rookie and still trying to figure out the NBA game. But he has great size and feet for his position, and has showed flashes of great touch and body control on the offensive end. He needs to learn to cut down on fouls going forward, but has already shown that he can defend the rim and rebound at a high level. As his game developes he will evolve into the prototype center.

Players we kept
We didn't trade our star player who is only 24 and one of the best two way players in the game and a complete player who has no weaknesses, even drawing Scottie Pippin comparisons. Then with the #1 pick in the contraction draft we took Andrew Wiggins, another 2way player with a good shot, who is the best athlete we've seen as a teenager since Dwight Howard. We're sold on his potential. He is currently best as a 2 guard where he can use his size and athleticism and mask his improving ball handling. Solomon Hill has made great strides in his 2nd year out of Arizona and we see him as a great blue color wing who could contribute off the bench for a finals team going forward.

Other moves
We left the poor FA market of Indiana to go to the most famous arena and city in the world. Should be great in developing our brand

Team Direction
This is the best part. We plan to do a Spurs model worst to first. We cleared 15 million off of this years payroll to get under the luxury tax for a big payout. In addition we will have 35 million in cap space for next season. We have the #2 and #11 picks as well as many future picks where we can either draft BPA or trade for a young star to add to our core. So Imagine for me a starting 5 of Mudiay, Wiggins, George, Lebron, Marc Gasol

56/70

In summary, with the salary cap at 55 million, almost every player in the league is overpaid. We traded all of our old vets on a team going nowhere and ended up with two max cap slots in a buyers market for FA and made money saving moves getting under the tax clearing 15 million in salary as well as moving to a FA drawing city in NY. But with George and Wiggins we will have two of the NBAs top two way players age 24 and 19 respectively. I carefully chose the Pacers because I knew I could turn this team into a dynasty after just one lost season. Executed the plan exactly as I wanted. I probably won't receive the appreciation I deserve this season, but after next season, OaT will appreciate what I've built.

5 reasons
1) 2 young two way superstars Wiggins and George
2) 2 max cap slots in a buyers FA.
3) acquired high draft picks to land a 5th star
4) cut costs and save money this season
5) relocated to NY

PS, bulls don't have a max cap slot Green and Young will opt in.

Rankings:

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

8- kept the same starting 5 together and made major talent improvements to the bench with pieces like Livingston, Martin, and Adams.

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)

3- kept the same HC

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)

5 built a title contender that made it to the ECF while staying under the lux tax.

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

4- relocated the team and built the best arena possible but it will pay off in due time. Especially after avoiding the lux tax.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)

9- extremely bright. Top 10 draft pick this next draft, multiple draft picks in the future, same starting 5, title contender with new arena, play in the east, etc.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

9- have a top 10 draft pick for the upcoming draft AND multiple draft picks for the next 3-4 years.

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)

Offense- 5
Defense- 4

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)

4

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

5- excellent team chemistry. Kept the same starting 5 as the real life Hawks.

10. Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)

8- Made it to the ECF.

Total: 64

I deserve to win because I kept my starting 5 together. Relocated and built a top-notch arena to make tons of dough in the future. I made it to the ECF while avoiding the lux tax. I have multiple 1st round draft picks in the next 4-5 years. I made solid improvements to my bench. AND I have the likely COTY candidate in Budenholzer with a team prepared to make many title runs and NBA finals appearances.

There is a system in San Antonio which has kept them winners under the same Hall of Fame Coach Popovich so we felt that we should keep the team mostly intact and retool. Over half the team is exp with a star studded free agency crop in 2015 so we kept enough space to add a max deal if Timmy stays around and some core guys or if Timmy retires 2 max guys.

initial roster
PG Tony Parker //Paddy Mills
SG Danny Green //Manu Ginobli// mario Bellinelli

ending roster

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

Added an all star caliber player at half the max in Al Jeff and some young pieces Dieng
Burke. We trade a young talent who will get a max offer in Leonard we will focus on retaining Green and Bellinelli.

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)
We already had the best coach in Pop so kept it all intact.

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)
One of only 2 teams that both made the playoffs and kept under the luxury tax by 7 million so area of strength

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)
We made almost 140 million and will continue to stay under the luxury while retooling a perrenial contender.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)
Al Jeff is still an all star caliber player in his prime. We added some firsts in a good draft picked up some starting caliber players on rookie deals in Burke and Dieng.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)
Added some future firsts for 2015 and 2016

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)
Spurs have had great success with a system which we kept intact. Shoot and Defend the 3 well.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)
We felt we could trade Manu from the big 3 due to age, injury risk due to style of play

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )
We won the championship 2 yrs ago kept a lot of it intact and added players who would work in our system

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)
Lost in the 1st round but have a bright future.

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)
Yes we traded away the best player in the planet but brought back the 3rd Curry and 7th Love back in return. Will see. The chemistry was not working in Clev so we brought in starters from a solid Memlike 2nd unit.

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)
We fired an unpoplular coach in Blatt and brought in the dynamic Mark Jackson who helped our foundation piece Curr with the Warriord but learned his lesson by bringing in Avery Johnson, Mike Brown 3rd times a charm and David Robinson .

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)
We cut 15 million in payroll expecially in long term committments like Verajao, a bloated JR smith deal and brought in some of the best value deals Curry at 5 mil, Zbo 4.5 mil Mike Conley at 9 mil. We kept Mozgov and Brendon Haywood a useful chip to improve.
4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

We went from the 20th largest market to the 4th Philly which lost its team.

Flexible payroll cutting long term commitments and beter market will make this a strength. Next year Mike Conley ZBO Mozgof starting players at below MLE money.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)
Love Curry are not in their prime yet but are all NBA, Conley and ZBo are still in their prime. Julius Randlle will be ROY.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

Brought in 4 firsts.

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up) Improved a poor defense dynamic offense. Still offensive explosive Curry added shooting greatly improved defense.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)
Verajao is always an injury risk We stayed young and should be healthy.

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 ) We brought back the core of the Grizzlies
Added the core of a top team of the past.

Montreal Royale.

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

DEPTH CHART
PG: Kemba Walker/Brian Roberts
SG: Gerald Henderson/Gary Neal/Jeff Taylor
SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist/Lance Stephenson/PJ Hairston
PF: Cody Zellar/Marvin Williams/Jason Maxiell/Noah Vonleh
C: Al Jefferson/Bismack Biyombo

DEPTH CHART
PG: Damian Lillard/Beno Udrih/Devin Harris
SG: Gerald Henderson/OJ Mayo/Justin Holiday
SF: Andre Iguadala/PJ Tucker/Jeff Taylor
PF: Taj Gibson/Brandon Wright/Jason Maxiell
C: Nicola Vucevic/Jordan Hill

Overview - The team went from pretty weak sauce to having a stellar starting 5 and a much stronger and deeper bench. The addition of Vucevic and Lillard gave the team a 1-2 monster on offense, and the addition of the tough, defensive minded Taj Gibson and Andre Iguadala sets the culture change for the future of the team. Moving Stephenson was key as well, he was a failed experiment who didn't fit the culture at all. Kidd-Gilchrist shot was not wanted in Kerr's offense. In Mayo, Henderson, Tucker, Holiday, Udrih, Harris and of course, Lillard, Kerr will use his shooters to maximum and have Vucevic, Gibson, Wright and Hill setting many screens and rebounding, finishing off inside. The health of the team is much improved and only Iguadala is over 30 years of age, he will set the tone of the club as captain. Having Lillard and Vuc as the stars of the new Montreal based team will launch them into the Canadian market with aplomb.

4/5

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)

Overview - The HUGE move for the relocated team to Montreal is the hiring of the young mastermind, Mr Steve Kerr. His free flowing team concept will be ushered into the new team with style. His focus on team passing, shooting the long ball at will, multiple screen setting across the team, stiffing switching close out defenseand fast breaking will mirror the current Warriors and Hawks game plans. He has a great assistant staff which includes Patrick Ewing (To work with Vuc, Taj, Gibson and Wright), Stephen Silas, Mark Price (Great shooting coach), Bob Weiss, Pat Delaney and Steve Hetzel.

5/5

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)

Overview - The team relocated to the enormous market of Montreal, north of the boarder. The cost was large, but the team has embarked on a big journey and have moved into the largest arena in Canada where they'll share the spotlight with the Montreal Canadiens Hockey franchise. Montreal has a huge catchment area of over 4 million people which is 4 times the size of Charlotte. They'll also immediately form a fierce rivalry with the Toronto Raptors for Canadian supremacy, making the move even more intriguing. The marketing possibilities internationally is massive and they'll be making the move with Lillard, Vuc and Kerr as the main faces to promote to the big Canadian market. The team made the playoffs the 1st season which would have whipped the city into a frenzy, where they faced the star studded (but arguably flawed, lol) Lebron James led Detroit Emperors, who will now be a fierce rival also. This move will be VERY lucrative in the long run, and myself and MJ will enjoy the ride as owners.

5/5

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

Overview - See previous post. The future for the new Montreal based franchise will be HUGE. Money will flow in like the salmon of Capistrano. The payroll is under the cap long term, the arena is huge, the market is huge. Fun times ahead.

5/5

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)

Overview - The team is built correctly as a total team. They are young and will be a strong player in the East. There are many big teams in the East however like the Bulls, Peach State, Emporers, Philly and Washington. I believe the team to be in the top 4 in the East currently, and will grow together to become even better. The team however, admittedly may need a big time wing man in the future if Lillard and Vuc can't carry the team far into the playoffs, so that will be on the agenda long term, watch this space.

8/10

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

Overview - The Royale have no 1st in the upcoming draft as it was used to acquire Damian Lillard, which was absolutely worth it. They will have their 2nd however. In the future 5 years, Montreal will have all of their 1sts available except in 2016 when they will have an unprotected GSW pick.

Draft Picks:
2015: 2nd Own
2016: 1st Own
2017: 1st (Warriors); 2nd (Spurs protected top 55)
2018: 1st Own; 2nd Own
2019: 1st Own; 2nd Own; 2nd (Mia)
2020: 1st Own ; 2nd Own
2021: 1st Own ; 2nd Own

7/10

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)

Overview - Offense - With Lillard and Vucevic as their inside/outside combo, the future is young and very very bright. Kerr will have this team running like a machine. Vuc is a monster inside and can hit the open jumper out to 20 feet. His touch around the rim is unrivaled for a big man right now. Lillard is a upcoming superstar and has shown his ability from long range. Only Curry would be superior to him from the PG spot. He is also as clutch as they come. The team is deep from range with Mayo, Hendo, Tucker, Harris, Udrih and Iggy all capable scorers. Taj brings toughness on offense and he is one of the best offensive rebounders in the league. Wright and Hill are fantastic bench bigs and will keep the offense purring. Iggy will be a point forward plenty which allow Lillard to play off the ball a lot, like Curry and the Warriors. This team is young and smart with great passers, has inside and outside covered.

4/5

Defense Led by Iggy on the wings and Gibson and Vuc inside, the culture of the Kerr defense will be based on multiple switches, double teams and aggressive close outs. Gibson brings a unique toughness inside, and Iggy's all world wing defense will grow within the team. Hendo is no slouch and will bother plenty. Off the bench, Tucker is a vital piece, as is Wright and his ability to change shots. Same with Holiday who has great length. We have size, length, youth and athleticism to pull off the Warriors and Hawks style of suffocating defense.

4/5

Total - 8/10

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)

Overview - This team is deep, but also very healthy. The starting 5 rarely miss any games. The bench, the same. If Lillard goes down, Udrih, Harris, Mayo and Iguadala will take over the PG duties. If Henderson goes down, Mayo, Harris and Holiday. If Iggy goes down, Henderson, Tucker, Holiday and Taylor. If Gibson goes down, Wright, Hill, Maxiell or even Tucker as a small ball forward. If Vuc goes down, Hill, Gibson and Wright. This team has been very healthy however, as they are very young.

5/5

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

Overview - There is a blend of experience and youth in this squad. They will play with a real 'team' concept of ball movement and switching on defense which will foster great chemistry. In Gibson, Iggy and Harris, there is some solid experience. The team is however young, but Kerr will mold them into a team of chemistry as it is made up of smart players.

4/5

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)

Overview - The team made the playoffs and was knocked out in 7 by the Emperors. I believe this to be quite controversial however, as a team consisting of the makeup of the Detroit team would arguably implode sensationally due to enormous egos and only 1 ball on the court. They aren't exactly a "team", more like a collection of star players who want to have the ball in their hands at all times, and pout when they don't (No offense Ness!!!).The Montreal Royaleare built for a strong playoff run in the future.

8/10

Celtics
PG: Kyle Lowry / Marcus Smart
SG: Courtney Lee / Greivis Vasquez / James Young
SF: Arron Afflalo / Terrence Ross / Mike Dunleavy / Tayshaun Prince
PF: Jared Sullinger / Patrick Patterson / Amir Johnson / Brandon bass
Cc: Joakim Noah /Hassan Whiteside

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

My take: 10 / 10

What I had before:
PG: Smart / Pressey
SG: Bradley / Young / Thornton
SF: Turner / Crowder / Prince / Wallace
PF: Sullinger /Bass / Randolph
C: Olynyk / Zeller

PG: Kyle Lowry / Marcus Smart
SG: Courtney Lee / Greivis Vasquez / James Young
SF: Arron Afflalo / Terrence Ross / Mike Dunleavy / Tayshaun Prince
PF: Jared Sullinger / Patrick Patterson / Amir Johnson / Brandon bass
Cc: Joakim Noah /Hassan Whiteside

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)

My take: 5 / 5

I have 3 former HC as assistant coaches: Malone, Cheeks, McMillan & then Payton. My head coach is Flip Saunders, a well respected coach.

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)

My take: 4 / 5

I have young players, zero big free agents & $23 mill in expirings, so I'm in great shape.

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

My take: 4 / 5

I have a young team that should've made the playoffs. My payroll is workable. My arena is in great shape. I will make the playoffs

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)

My take: 8 / 10

Young talent. 8th pick & 5 1st rounders in the next 5 drafts.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

My take: 8 / 10

I have 8th pick. 5 1sts in next 5 drafts.

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)

My take: 4 / 5

My team is better than the current real life Raptors, so yeah very well balance. Not sure how I didn't make the playoffs. Looks like we have some people who don't understand basketball.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)

Noah is the only injury plagued player & he doesn't get injured that often. Sullinger also has a back issue, but it hasn't bothered him.

My Take: 4.5/5

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

My take: 4 / 5

Lowry, Vasquez, Ross, Amir, Patterson, & Prince all played together.

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)

My take: 0 / 10

Somehow I didn't make the postseason.

Total Score: 51.5 / 70

Waived but still paying salary:
Isaiah Canaan $816,482
Nick Johnson $507,336
Joey Dorsey $948,163
Tony Wroten $1,000,000

TOTAL $82,479,247

ASSETS:

Draft Picks:

2015 HOU 1st (1-14 own, 15+ to LAL) ----I'm removing the protections and giving up this pick per RocDogg's ruling
2016 HOU 1st

2018 HOU 1st

TRADES:

Trade #6 Rockets-Nuggets

Nuggets trade:
Gordon Hayward $14,746,000
Roy Hibbert $14,898,938
2015 DEN 1st (unprotected)
Total $29,644,938

Rockets accept. While it's hard to give up a center like Dwight Howard, we feel Hibbert can provide the same level of defense and we more than replace the offense lost with Hayward whom we really like next to Harden. Plus we get a 1st round pick.

Good dealing Denver

Rockets trade:
Dwight Howard $21,436,271
Trevor Ariza $8,579,089
TOTAL $30,015,360

The money is well within the 125% rule and the $5M rule

Trade #9 Rockets-Heat

New ownership manages to do what old ownership thought they had--bring Bosh to Houston.

Rockets trade:

Elfrid Payton $2,397,840
Jason Terry $5,850,313
Kostas Papanikolaou $4,800,000
Alexey Shved $3,282,056
Terrence Jones $1,618,680
2015 NOP 1st(top 3 protected,20+ protected in 2015-2020, then becomes 2020+2021 2nds)
2015 DEN 1st (unprotected)
2017 HOU 2nd
TOTAL $17,948,889

Heat trade:

Chris Bosh $20,644,400
Jose Calderon $1,000,000
TOTAL 21,644,400

17,948,889*1.25= 22,436,111 so the money works. Rockets will be at the bottom roster limits of 12 keeping them in compliance.

Rockets agree. No-brainer to add Bosh who fits our roster beautifully. Great 3rd option offensively, another long defender defensively. And we think Calderon is a nice complement to Beverly at PG. He never turns it over and is an elite shooter. We give up a lot, but we want to win right now and this core is still quite young and can contend for years.

MONSTARS trade Al-Farouq Aminu........ $981,084

Aminu is a min-salary so the money works and Houston currently has an open roster spot to take him on.

Rockets agree. We love having an athletic defender/rebounder who can provide depth at the 3/4.

Everyone is within the 125% plus 100,000 rule.

Most important decision we made was to move Dwight Howard while he still had value. His play is in decline, he has real injury concerns, he has a big contract, and he hurts team chemistry. We still wanted an elite defensive big and so brought in Hibbert. We have the best young wing combo in the league in Thompson and Hayward, a proven championship big in Bosh and the perfect PG in Dragic to bring it all together. We have elite prospects Dougie Buckets, Motiejunas among others. We took steps to lower our payroll moving forward without gutting our team.

We were very good at responding promptly to all inquiries from every GM and kept everything up to date at all times. We won't win any creative competitions but we are purists here and not about the glitter and glam. We are about basketball.

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

Rockets went away from the old failed star-centered strategy. We moved Howard and Harden and ended up with a much deeper, much more well-rounded team and Thompson and Hibbert both bring 90% of what our old stars brought, but it allowed us to add Bosh, Hayward, and Dragic plus better role players. Plus we improved the level of prospects we have. Grade: 8

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)

We feel like Kevin McHale and his staff are solid. We wanted to give him a chance to work with the new team. Grade: 3

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)

Our payroll is high, but with the contraction draft and artificially low lux tax level we don't feel we are to blame, we also took steps that will reduce our payroll considerably next year. We know we have a good market and a trusted brand which we kept. Grade: 4

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

We have a winning team in a big market with a declining payroll. Grade: 4

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)

We feel we are as good as any team in the league right now, all of our key players are in their prime or younger and we have some improving young players breaking into the rotation. Grade: 9

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

Real-life Rockets had dealt away a lot of picks. I dealt a couple more, but they would all be late picks anyway. No real loss here, but we didn't add any high level pick assets either. Score: 3

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)

Team Offense: Elite perimeter players plus Bosh. Score: 5
Team Defense: Klay + Hibbert + Bosh + Aminu is really strong. Score: 4
Overall Score: 9

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)

Unless Bosh's blood clot has longterm effects and all indications is that it won't, we are in great shape. Players are young and none with injury history. Score: 5

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

We made a fair number of moves, but the resulting lineup fits like a glove. Roles are clearly defined. Score: 4

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)

We made the 2nd round losing to the eventual champs with one of our best players out injured. We don't see how we could have exceeded this performance. Score: 8

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)
Randy Wittman is garbage, Bennett is a clear improvment.

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)
We paid the luxury tax, but other than that our expenses were fairly limited.

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)
We have a superstar secured long term and a lot of rookie deals, however we have some overpaid vets and we might not be completely competitive.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)
We have John Wall, a ton of rookie deals and a good amount of cap space coming up, however we do have Ariza and Landry's deals on the books and no other difference makers outside of Wall and Gortat.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)
We have all of our future picks and some distant 1sts from other teams.

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)
Offense: Wall is a superstar, Gortat and Ariza fit perfectly with him and we have depth players to make it work. We have solid spacing and great ball movement.
Defense: Wall is still a superstar but outside of him and Gortat no one really makes a difference defensively.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)
No big injury risks and adequate depth to sustain someone going down for a while.

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )
We only made a few moves, and we got back Trevor Ariza for chemistry. We have won the last couple years as well.

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)
Made it to the 1st round.

2014-15]WRITE UP
1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (8)
Important moves as much as player development put the Blazer in the WCF. We were able to trade acquire Eric Bledsoe and Rudy Gay, in place of Damian & Nic - who were both having down years. In terms of Player development - one need only look at Meyers Leonard and CJ McCollum to see the dramatic improvements the Blazers have achieved.

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (4)
Stotts is probably underappreciated, but just watch his success after time outs and in overtime - game winning situations. Really a quality coach and great communication with Media and Kids - Blazers rate a below the radar 4 to 5 in coaching!

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(3+)
Portland is considered a Small market - low local TV revenues with a bad Comcast/Direct TV war. We were taxpayors, but with the new arena we think we have well constructed salary's to leave flexibility once the new TV revenues kick in and can certainly afford to spend some now to assure long term success. Bottom Line - Paul Allen is our owner - $17,500,000,000 in 2015 - Makes pretty good money on the Football Team in Seattle and that little software outfit he co founded! We're OK.

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(4+)
Paul owns' the Moda Center - sold naming rights but his Vulcans were in process of bankrupting the facility in 2010 when Portland cut him a sweetheart deal for parking consessions, etc. Stable / state of the art facilities through 2025. Sold out - great venue as revenue stream - Payroll on high end, but not insurmountable - Playoff income will be a regular event with blending of starts and youth.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (6 too many expiring contract) (take into account possible competition)
Blazers hold the Rights to all Key players in FA - and will take little hit in terms of Salary to retain LMA and DeAndre - they will pay for Wes and Robin Lopez, but with Paul Allen's $17.5B they can afford to retain whomever they want - And Will.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (8)
2015 1st: Own; (002) DET 1st; (021) PHO 1st - Blazers have #5 / #19 / #21 - will consolidate to move up
2015 2nd: Moved prior to Game
2016 1st: 2016 2nd: Mortgaged for 2015 picks -
2017 1st: Own 1-3 or to INDY (016); (002) DET 1st (053 Det to MEM;
2017 2nd: To HOU
2018 1st: Own
2018 2nd: TO INDY (016) Own or SAC (via SAC swap for POR)
2019 1st: Own ... 2020 1st: Own ... 2021 1st: Own
2019 2nd: Own ... 2020 2nd: Own ... 2021 2nd: Own

7. Team Offense/Defense (4/4) on each then total them up)
Offense: Terry Stotts motion offense - feature LMA wherever he has a mismatch - Eric Bledsoe running and penetrating and dishing to open looks for Wes Matthew and Rudy Gay - both great knock down shooters (and both beasts in the open floor). Great board work at both ends with LMA - DeAndre Jordan and Robin Lopez.
Defense: Did I mention Wes - LMA - DeAndre and Robin Lopez. Blazer D top 10 in league all year.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (4)
Lopez our with a wrist injury for 22 game in '14 -15 - Wes, LMA, DeAndre, Rudy Gay, CJ McCollum, Moe Harkless - have all enjoyed very healthy campaigns (in 13-14 Rolo played all 82). Blazers able to go most of the season without interrupting their rotation.

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (7)
In the Spririt of the Game - we made a lot of deals - However, we retained the important Core Group or Wes Matthew / LaMarcus Aldridge & Robin Lopez with 3 of our reserves retained as well (2 or those recent lotto picks). We did relegate Rolo to the backup in favor of DeAndre Jordan and brought in Eric Bledsoe and Rudy Gay - who were improvement over Dame & Nic in '14-'15 (hurts to say that). Along with improved Bench players the Blazers advanced to the WCF - trades grade out to 7.

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 Advanced to the Western Conference Finals where they were Upset (IMO) by the OKC/MN White Walkers (9)
Made it to the 1st round.

2014-15]WRITE UP
1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (6)
GSW has the best record in the Assn in 2014-15 - but they are not constructed to win in the playoffs - They lack size and would be punished by PDX / White Walkers and Griz just out of the West. And in the spirit - I traded the entire team - but feel like we have assembled a great line up of young proven and potential players who will have great chemistry and a Championship window for years to come. (I actually liked this lineup better than Portland's though PDX has a little edge in the win now column).

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (3)
I did sacrafice Steve Kerr (got $10M for that) to elevate Luke Walton from assistant to head coach. We have retain Alvin Gentry and Ron Adams who were Kerr's Offensive and defensive X's and O's guys and I think Luke would be a tremendous communicator with these young guys. He won't have the luxury to getting the ball to Steph and Klay and have them Shoot - so his pedigree with Dr Jack Ramsey - John Wooden - Lute Olson & Phil Jackson will be instrumental in getting this team to realize it's full potential.

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money) (5)
Golden State is scheduled to move to San Francisco and the construction is in underway in real life - so game wise I am along for the ride and this move will not only generate revenues, but make the Warriors a much more desirable destination for Free Agents. We also have our roster signed signed for under $50M with Only Greg Monroe to sign who is not controlled - but who was salvaged from Detroit and put in a starting role with Derrick Favors, Tiago Splitter, Enes Kanter and Noah Vonleh comprising a Fantastic front line.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (6 too many expiring contract) (take into account possible competition) (9)
I thnk GSW should have been in the payoffs this year - though it only garnered them a better pick and I believe they have a proven young core of guys who will succeed for years to come. Lawson/Giannis/Favors/Monroe/Splitter with Kanter & McLemore both having great upside. This team is built to compete with anything you bring on both the offensive and defensive ends. Bring it on.

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (8) (2 lottos in 2015)
2015 1st: (029) MIL 1st #3; (042) CHA/MON 1st #12 (Sacto moves to '16) #3 / #12 and Future 1st!
2015 2ndL To PHL (via IND); TOR (076)
2016 1st: Own To MIL (007) if not conveyed in 2015; (029) ATL1st; (035) SAC 1-10 if not conveyed in '15
2017 To MIL (007); (035) SAC 1-10 if not conveyed in '16
2018 1st: Own; (023) DETl; (035) SAC No Protection // 2018 2nd: To DEN
2019 1st: Own; SAC 019(055) // 2019 2nd: Own; (023) DET
2020 1st: Own // 2020 2nd: Own
2021 1st: Own // 2021 2nd: Own

7. Team Offense/Defense (4/4 on each then total them up)
Offense: (4) - with Lawson & Collison triggering our offense and a probably #3 stud coming at PG/SG. The Warriors are young and long - with Giannis / Favors / Monroe / Enes and Tiago mostly all signed and a salary of only $58M - we have no holes and can play in the open court or 1/2 court sets with the inside - out abilities that he current Warriors have designed.
On Defense:(4) The Warriors are much more athletic and bigger than we were going into the season and can run with anyone - so there will not be easy points given up. Great on ball and help defenders throughout out roster. Lawson & Collison are both tenacious defenders who will take risks - and run out for easy baskets.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (4)
Healthy Young guys with limited wear and tear - no injury history for any of our guys. This should be a huge advantage for our squad.

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (7)
To Much movement, but overall the plan was to retain elite level players - improve our depth and get bigger - all of which we accomplished. Our present bigs do not have the injury history of David Lee or Andrew Bogut and the rest of our guys do bring the size and even improved athleticism (including Ben McLemore who is the "weak" link) that can still become one of the best SG in the league.

10 Playoff run: (7) - I saw other GMs question that GSW did not make the playoffs in 2014-15 - which I agreed with - but I do think our future Playoff run will be consistent and we will have a true championship opportunity in the next 2 to 3 year. Too much talent that has already shown it will not be lost "potential" but guys who will work together to reach that ultimate goal.

Signings

1. Zach LaVine - contraction draft

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster
-Biggest take away here is that the original Memphis team has a window of roughly a season or two depending on how steep Randolph's decline is. We are not contenders this year, but we have a big three going forward of Kyrie, Parker and Noel with roleplayers who compliment as well in Levine and MKG as our core.

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff)
-Coaching isn't a big deal to me right now as I feel Joerger is a good coach, who is young and can grow with this young team as well.

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)
-We took on a bad contract or two to acquire the amount of assets we do, but it is important to note that the deals we did take on are no longer than two years. We will actually have roughly $32 million in cap space for the looming free agency year of 2016 with the likes of Durant and etc while maintaining our core.

4. Future profitability
-A definite budding superstar in Kyrie Irving who is increasing his brand off the court, a young team with lots of promise in a city that is passionate about basketball - this team has the chances to be extremely profitable.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances?
-Obviously we aren't winning a championship in the next 1-2 years, but in the future, depending on how the youth pans out and how the draft shakes out (we own 10 1sts in the next 3 years), we can build a real staple on the "contender hill."

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?
- 10 1st round draft picks in the next 3 years, including the #4 overall pick in this years draft says a lot about this teams future. We are going to build through the draft, and I am fairly certain some of the picks we own will also turn out to be high lottery picks.

7. Team Offense/Defense
-Irving is an elite offensive talent, Noel is an elite defensive talent. We have our anchor on both ends of the floor. Parker is a great #2 going forward, even a #1 depending on his development. We are confident that Joerger will keep these guys playing good fundamental basketball as that's also been his motive.

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two)
-Irving has been healthy this year, Noel is playing healthy after coming back from a college ACL injury, but Parker expereienced a freak accident, but all reports so far state this his rehab is coming along greatly.

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc)
-Seven trades were made on the Grizzlies end this season, but for the sake of this game, the "core" was in tact roughly half way through the game.

10. Playoff run: 2014/15
-The tank was real and in full swing this season.

I'll try my best to self-evaluate in all of these categories below:
Spoiler:
1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)
We moved Demarcus, Rudy, and both of our young shooting guards and Darren Collison. In terms of development, we instead have a young core in Oladipo/Leonard/Drummond. These guys are only tapping into the tip of their talent ice berg. As far as decline, we picked up Wade, Deng, Pierce, KG, and Nene, all of whom are past their prime but have the highest IQs of pretty much any other team out there. Physically we're overall on the decline, but mentally this team has the sky as the limit. 7

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)
We did nothing in this category and stuck with Corbin (or Karl?). However, the current King's development has had great chemistry and development so the current coaching staff must be decent to have stuck around past the HC firing. 3

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)
We like the california area and were able to get a piece of TV income by making the playoffs. We got hit hard with tax and were hoping for a deeper playoff run, but somehow our depth didn't play as much a strength as we'd thought....2

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)
Our young core and financial cap that'll be opening up to add more talent is incredible over the next 2 years. We will become a top team over the next season I'm sure. 5

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)
Kawhi's the reigning Finals MVP. Oladipo will be a top 10 shooting guard if not already. Drummond's a top 5 center as a 20-15-2 guy. 10

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 15 = good, no picks in 15 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)
meh. We also may have move a lot of picks, but will still get 2 of the next 5 year's 1st round picks. 6

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)
We have no weakness except 3pt shooting IMO. Off 4, Def 5

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)
This team is incredibly deep. 5

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )
I traded a lot, because I like to trade so that's on me for excessive movement. But our cumulative experience in winning and playoffs is UNCONTENDED! 4

10 Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)
First round exit meant we were sorta weak, but we made it... 4

Talent Improvement
Beginning Depth Chart:
PG: Deron WIlliams, Jarrett Jack, Darius Morris
SG: Bojan Bogdanovic, Alan Anderson, Markel Brown
SF: Joe Johnson, Sergey Karasev, Cory Jefferson
PF: Mason Plumlee, Kevin Garnett, Mirza Teletovic
C: Brook Lopez, Jerome Jordan, Joel Embiid
Current Depth Chart:
PG: Deron Williams, Tyler Ennis, Shelvin Mack
SG: Jodie Meeks, Alan Anderson, Sergey Karasev
SF: Joe Johnson, Kyle Singler
PF: Danilo Gallinari, Andray Blatche, Grant Jerrett
C: Dwight Howard, Miles Plumlee, Jerome Jordan

Making upgrades at at least two positions (SG and C) and the bench and only one arguable downgrade (PF), I believe I have definitely improved the talent on this roster. When healthy, this team can definitely cause any team in the league a lot of trouble.

Coaching
Head Coach: Brad Stevens
Assistant Coaches: Tony Brown, Jay Humphries, Paul Westphal, Joe Wolf, Jim Sann

I kept the assistant coaches from the previous regime to maintain a bit of continuity, but I also picked up a coach that can be rivaled by very few in the association, Brad Stevens. If he can make a pitiful Celtics roster look decent, then he can definitely lead this team into a victory on most nights.

Money Management
Total Net Income: -$146,961,041
The Nets were in an awful position when I took them in, but I was able to trim the payroll by $6,000,000 while improving the team. We'll also have a lot of expiring contracts next season, so we can make a run at some 2016 free agents.

Future Profitability
As contracts expire, our financial commitments will drop, so our profitability in the future will definitely be much better than our current profitability.

Competitive Future
They've had lots of injury problems the past couple seasons, but I really do believe that once healthy, this team could compete for championships with the best of them. Also, with no incredibly long contracts, the roster can be improved through key free agent acquisitions once some contracts start to come off the books.

Draft Picks
2015 Brooklyn 1st Round (Peach State Holds Right to Swap)
2015 Brooklyn 2nd Round
2016 Brooklyn 2nd Round (LA Clippers Hold Right to Swap UNLESS LA Clippers Pick is 55-60)
2017 Brooklyn 1st Round (Boston Holds Right to Swap)
2017 Boston 2nd Round (IF Boston Swaps 2017 1st Round UNLESS Boston Pick is 31-45)
2018 Brooklyn 2nd Round (OR 2018 Cleveland 2nd Round, if less favorable)

Didn't gain any, didn't spend any.

Team Offense/Defense
Offense: Inside-out offense revolving around Dwight Howard. All four other starters can shoot the three ball, so our offense should be pretty successful. Joe Johnson takes care of any iso situations.
Defense: Weak at a few positions, but Dwight should be able to take care of anyone who gets past our first line of defense.

Durability
The Nets have a pretty injury-prone roster, but we have decent depth to help stay on track if anyone does get injured.

Chemistry
I didn't make too many trades, so the continuity should be helping this team win some more games. Our "big 3" of DWill, Joe Johnson, and Dwight will hopefully stick together for years to come.

Playoff Run
Well, we made the playoffs and got beat by the 1 seed.

1. Talent improvement from end of last season roster to end of this season roster (this includes player development/decline) (1-10)

- We brought in a top 3 SG , added quality depth to our wing position and Evans and Davis took leaps in their development as players.

2. Coaching (Head Coach is most important but also keep in mind the whole coaching staff) (1-5)

- Monty gains another year of experience and we brought in some HOF and really good former players, who we hope is able to have similar coaching experiences.

3. Money management (were the financial risks worth the reward, Arena income, TV income, Team Expenditures)(1-5)

- We're distraught that nearly $700,000 kept us from getting over $70,000,000 in tax money earnings... we did get the $45,000,000 in TV money, but that's no constellation prize we're happy about...

4. Future profitability (will the team earn a lot or lose a lot, payroll, arena, playoff money)(1-5)

- Going forward, our better players are locked up into less than market value contracts and our franchise player has a little more time on his rookie contract. Financially, we're in a great spot.

5. How bright is the team's future in terms of talent and possible title chances (1-10) (take into account possible competition)

- We have Anthony Davis and if he can stay healthy--the sky is the limit for this team. We've already began the process of putting players around him that we feel will put this team in a better position to win a ring... however a move out east could help a whole lot...

6. Draft picks - How will future picks look... do you still have some?(good picks in 14 = good, no picks in 14 draft = bad, only 2nd rounders or late 1sts in the future = meh, average to high 1st rounders in future = good) (1-10)

- We have no 1st round picks for a while and a few seconds... but picks aren't hard to attain in this game.

7. Team Offense/Defense (1-5 on each then total them up)

- (I'd prefer an outside judge(s) do the honors.)

8. Durability (How healthy is/does your team project to be/can your team withstand an injury or two) (1-5)

- It all rides on Davis...

9. Chemistry (Excessive player movement, team stability, experience winning or growing towards that end, etc) (1-5 )

- We made two moves and our core is pretty much set, outside of a hopeful 2015 signing or two.

10. Playoff run: 2014/15 (1-10)

- We ran into the wrong team.

Total of cat 1 - 10 = ____ (I'd prefer an outside judge(s) do the honors.)

***Our focus from the beginning was keeping this team together and to continue to build chemistry, but then one day an opportunity to improve presented itself and we couldn't turn it down. This speeds up the process and just in time--imo. Now we continue to steer the course and get better.***
