Orlando in:

Boston in:
Gallo $5,000,000
Matt Barnes $3,000,000

$8,000,000

x1.5 is 12 which is greater than Orlando incoming

Orlando accepts. It hurts to lose Barnes actually, but Anderson in a starting role where he doesn't have to create is fantastic. Between Kyrie, Carroll and Anderson we have 3 elite shooters around Cousins and a good one in Oladipo

Celtic's agree
We like saving some money. We like upgrading our wing. We like being able to move Draymond back to the 4. Everyone saw Gallo dropped 40 last night? Plus our team didn't have enough crazy. Enter Matt Barnes.

Trade 132

Nets and Raptors Announce deal

Brooklyn will send Tyler Ennis $1,662,360, Sergey Karasev .. $1,599,840, Trey Lyles .. $1,444,200 & Andrew Nicholson $2,380,594
7.1M x 1.5 = 10.5 M; to
Toronto for Greivis Vasquez $6,600,000, Perry Jones III .. $2,038,206 & Dakari Johnson .... $957,200 = $ 9.599M < 10.5M taken in and so the money works.

The Canadians wanted to go home and while the Nets hate to move the potential upside of Trey Lyles - we were concerned he might be a tweaner and not realize the career some had projected. The chance to shore up the backup PG in Greivis who has proven he can compete in the Association vs. Ennis. I have always thought Perry Jones III was an intriguing player - great size and skills and he did show well in KD's absence last year. Not great BBIQ but in the right system and will a regular spot in the rotation he still has a ton of upside. Finally the shot at Dakari who is a physical beast and could develop into an outstanding big - possible game changer was too good of an opportunity to pass on. Nice Dealing Oreocleo (Mark!) glad we got 'er done - Good luck.

Trade 134

Grizzlies and Nuggets Reach Agreement

Memphis sends Dante Exum $3,777,720, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist $6,331,404 & Frank Kaminsky (11,882,844 x 1.25 =14,853,555); to
Denver for Ty Lawson 12,404,495 & Justise Winslow $2,368,300 ($14,772,795< $14,853,55 so money works)

Once we got Stanley Johnson - MKG was expendable as our SF of the future. In this deal we swap him for a potential Superstar in Justice Winslow who has shown nothing but the abilities and character to make him a special player at the next level. He will plug in at the SG starting right away and will have the Defensive prowess to cover 3 spots. We are sure the handles - attitude and skills are all there to fit in well with our vets in the starting lineup on the offensive end as well. In Ty Lawson we get a near allstart performer at the Point for a ton of Potential in Dante and Kaminsky. Time will tell who wins this deal - but in the short term I am confident we have made Memphis a better contender! Good luck Eric - Nice Dealing

We made this deal knowing the Bo Ryan is coming to Denver after Wisconsin wins the title :D :o so we add Frank to this impressive young team and let him and Dekker show the other guys how Bo likes to run his system.

And Bo is happy with this trade. Image

Kings accept. Barnes has showed much improved this season,
as the starting SF, on the #1 team. He is long & athletic. He can shoot the 3 & attack the rim. He is a willing passer & defender. He is young enough to still have serious all-star potential but even worst case scenario dude is a proven starting quality 3-D wing. Thx H4W

# 135 - Knicks and Nets

Nets out / Knicks in:

Elfrid Payton ........... $2,505,720 .. $2,613,600 .. $3.332,340 .. QO
Bojan Bogdanovic .... $3,425,510 .. $3,573,020 .. $4,466,275
Channing Frye .......... $7,807,579 .. $7,456,238 .. $7,420,912
Dakari Johnson .......... $957,200 .. $1,000,200 .. $1,043,300 .. $1,883,157 .. $2,8M

Total: 14,696,009

Knicks out / Nets in:

KJ McDaniels - 10,000,000 | | | 10,000,000
Nik Stauskas - 2,745,840 | | | 2,869,440 | | | 2,993,040 | | | 3,807,147
Cliff Alexander - 1,572,360 | | | 1,643,040 | | | 1,713,840
Tyus Jones - 1,449,000 | | | 1,514,160 | | | 1,579,440

Total: 15,767,200

Knicks accept -
We complete out full rebuild.
We give up alot for Payton, who is quickly becoming one of the better point guards in the league (back to back triple doubles). This kid is like Rondo on steriods with out the drama. He's a lock down defender, a pass first guy, and a great team player. Once he developes his shot, which he is/will, he will be damn near untouchable on the court. We take back peices that make sense (Bogdanovic replaces McDaniels) and (Frye replaces the first big off the bench). Dakari Johnson does alot of the same stuff that Cliff will do. We hate to give up on Jones so quickly, but he was neccassary to get the deal done. Again, we do this deal for Payton, and create the BEST YOUNG STARTING 5 in the NBA. With Payton, THJR., Parker, Randle and Okafor, the future looks bright finally in NYK! Thanks Scott.

Nets Accept - Not sold on Payton's upside- great numbers on a bad team who is not winning - which is the measure of a PG. I do like Tyrus with the experience he's had quarterbacking elite talent at Duke - big game performer. The balance of the deal seems weighted to the Nets advantage. We feel Stauskas may be the best player in the deal - but KJ McDaniels has shown he belongs from his stint in Philly - and Cliff Alexander was projected as a top 5 lotto pick earlier the season and should return to form. Great dealing Ness
