Stilting

Wilt Chamberlain 1971-1972 (9.3 x .85) 7.9 FGA
Steve Nash 2004-2005 11.4 FGA
Kobe Bryant 2007-2008 20.6 FGA
Ron Artest/Metta World Peace 2003-2004 15.2 FGA
Dwight Howard 2009-2010 10.2 FGA
Lamar Odom 2005-2006 11.6 FGA
AC Green 1995-1996 5.4FGA
Derek Fisher 2006-2007 8.2 FGA

90/90 FGA

Steve Nash(35)/Derek Fisher(13)
Kobe Bryant(38)Derek' Fisher(10)
Ron Artest(38)/ AC Green(10)
Lamar Odom(38)/AC Green(10)
Wilt Chamberlain(24)/Dwight Howard (24)

Why I should win:

Lakers vs Celtics a classic rivalry, I'm not too concerned about Nash on Gary Payton defensively. Payton's lack of shooting makes this matchup easier on Nash, as I have some great help defenders in Dwight, Chamberlain, and Artest.

This matchup basically comes down to Kobe vs Pierce, which should definitely swing my way. Kobe should be able to really take advantage of Pierce at the 2. I have a great bench, great defense, and the talent edge to push this for a win to me.

Good luck Laimbeer!

Good luck, Goober.

PG Gary Payton (38) / Jason Terry (10)
SG Paul Pierce (38) / Jason Terry (10)
SF Larry Bird (38) / James Posey (10)
PF Kevin McHale (30) / James Posey (18)
C Robert Parish (36) / Kevin McHale (6) / Kendrick Perkins (6)

FGA
1985-86 Larry Bird 19.6
2007-08 Paul Pierce 13.7
1995-96 Gary Payton 15.8
1985-86 Kevin McHale 14.4
1985-86 Robert Parish 11.9
2007-08 James Posey 5.6
2014-15 Jason Terry 5.8
2013-14 Kendrick Perkins 3.1
89.9/90

Offense: There are a couple of things we can exploit here. Nash isn't a good defender and Payton should have some success. McHale is arguably the greatest low post scorer of all time, and Odom isn't the low post defender you need. The proven blend of this frontline, joined by a HOF backcourt, is a handful to guard.

Defense: I'm comfortable having high level defenders throughout the lineup. Wilt is the big gun. I think Parish is a good response. I'll generally depend on high level defenders at every position producing a good result.

Summary: Goober has built an excellent team, but I think we have the proven talent and fit to come out on top. We excel at both ends at each position. Basically, the greatest frontcourt in NBA history has been joined by two Hall-of-Fame caliber talents in the backcourt.

Payton will give Nash fits. I think Laimbeer's team approach is an advantage over Kobe and the role players.

I voted against him last round because I loved parnsips team but I still think Laimbeer has an insane amount of talent. Dwight/Wilt mitigating each-other catches up with Goober here, Artest is a good defender for Bird and individually he matches up pretty well but he just doesn't have as good of a team, on the whole.

I go with Laimbeer as aswell. McHale going against a weaker post defender Odom is the deciding factor here

Even playing against a Steve Nash led blazing offense, laimbeers more balanced offense is more potent. Goober holds a pretty significant bench advantage.

I've got to go with laimbeer here.

Nash's value is slightly diminished next to a ball-dominant wing like Kobe IMO, and Gary can sufficiently ruin his off-ball impact. Artest guarding Bird a big plus, and Goober took advantage of the Wilt/Dwight combo with his approach, but McHale getting his against Odom is the deak breaker for me.

Closer than the votes indicate. I liked Goober's team a lot.

Didn't see that coming! I mean I could see Laimbeer winning but wasn't expecting a sweep either way.
