Rules

- Once the clock starts each manager will have a maximum of 2 hours to make their pick. (NOTE: The clock stops at midnight to 9 AM EDT.) If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, your pick window will be halved to one hour.

- After you make your pick, please quote or PM the person after you in the order to let them know it's their turn.

- We are using a modified snake draft order: ABBABABA

- All FGA and other relevant stats will be taken from basketball-reference.com. The FGA limit is 90.

- If you don't think you'll be around when it's your pick, please PM a shortlist to myself or any other participant.

- Please post draft picks only in this thread. If you want to hype up your pick and/or quote the next person please do everything in one post. Another thread will be started for general discussion.

- Subject to the rules to be set out below, players from the 1979-80 season to the 2016-17 season will be available to be drafted. You can draft players that came into the league before 1979 but the season you choose can't be before 1979-80.

- All of your players must be selected from the list of foreign NBA players in the link below, with ONE exception (more on that below).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_foreign_NBA_players

- Your exception pick can be used to select any player that does not appear on the list. However, there is a caveat - if you choose a player (regardless of nationality) who has won an NBA or ABA MVP, that pick automatically exhausts your exception. So for example, if you drafted Dirk Nowitzki, you couldn't then use your exception to pick Steph Curry (or vice versa). You can make your exception pick at any time.

- Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected.

- Each player on your roster must play at least 8 minutes in playoff matchups.

I'm not sure if this is really a rule, but I like the pictures so go ahead and post one along with your pick. 8-)

Good luck everyone!

Wow. The three international guys I thought might be worth taking this high went just like that. With the backcourt shortage, taking the GOAT and a guy who has won here so often looks like the best move.

This guy never gets taken in these drafts, but him plus an MVP exception might be worth a risk. An incredibly talented player, I will take

Dominique Wilkins (he's on the list)

Might come as a surprise but I'll take Goran Dragic. Can somebody quote next (again...)?

I'm going to take a guy who I think is really overrated but good in this setting. Pau Gasol.
