Relevant Stats By Position for Offence and Defence

What are some of the "better" stat(s) to use by player position for offence? And for defense? I'm not looking for one stat like PER to describe every player who has a different position and role. That is, Rebounds (or a stat that relies on that maybe important for a C but not so important for a PG). And similarly point per 36M maybe important for a C offense but is not relevant measure for their defense.
