This is probably a basic question, but looking at expanded stats, is the Vs. .500 stat based upon an opponent's record at the time of the match-up or overall? For example, the Bulls and Pacers play tonight for the second time and the Bulls were under .500 the first meeting, but are above now. So, let's say Indiana wins, does this mean they have two wins over .500 or above teams, or just one?
If it's time of matchup wouldn't that be skewed heavily in the beginning of the season?

Well, it looks like it is overall, as the Pacers are now listed as 1-1 against .500 or above teams (the Bulls), even though, technically, they haven't beaten a team with a .500 or better record coming into a game. Interesting.
