Used to be fokus, and thanks to Miller suspending me around the time of the Arenas incident, I seemed to have missed my opportunity to ever get the name changed again. :sigh:

Mean ol' miller. Suspending beloved, innocent Wizboard golden-boy Krizko Zero.

You know that was unwarranted. I literally said No, and was suspended the same day. Play it off as much as you like, that never happened before you became a mod here.

Without derailing the thread and making this KZ-hour, I'll just say there's much more to the story you're not admitting or not seeing. You took no responsibility for your actions when you were suspended and you're refusing to accept others' points of view now. It's tiring and repetitive. You can have the last say as I'm sure you'll take it.

Nothing really to say, everybody knows whether I say it or not, unwarranted suspensions like that did not happen before you became a mod here. It's that simple.

I'm fairly certain that before the game Gil will take to the mike and apologize to the fans.

And all will be forgiven.

I'd rather he didn't do it at the beginning of the game. For some reason that would seem a little weird to me. He can do it in the paper and in interviews before the season starts. That's what my gut says would be best. Hopefully the pre season provides him the opportunity to clear the air before the season starts.

If he does that, I think he will be cheered. Even if he doesn't, I have a hard time thinking fans would boo him. Specially to start the season. I believe most fans are willing to give him a chance to prove himself a more mature person.

I can't speak on a situation that happened long before I was even stalking these boards, but this does seem like an opportune time to say that I really appreciate the work that goes into keeping these boards a friendly, welcoming place. This is one of the best online communities I've ever seen, let alone one of the best sports boards. Some of that credit has to go to the mods. They may make mistakes from time to time, but I appreciate the overall results a great deal.

Even if I think I disagree with almost everything Miller has ever said about basketball or politics, ever. ;)

Miller deserves NO credit for how clean the boards are. Anybody who's been here long enough knows that the original mods were the ones to lay down the law in regards to thread creation. Miller has not done much aside from pick up the slack where the original mods no longer have the time to do so, and anger other long time posters of the forum.

He essentially showed up one day after posting for a while on the GB as a Wiz fan when there was a Mod opening. He snitched out Donkey and won a job as local Mod. Hmmmm.

Credit for the system here goes to JMRosenth, PineappleheadinDC, and WizStorm.

AND the quality of content is largely due to WizardsKev for being one of the most knowledgeable and credible posters I've ever read on an online forum. Anybody who read this guys posts had to step their game up if they even thought about responding.

Edit: OK, I'm not going to be snarky. Instead, I'd just like to point out that this sounds a lot more like an emotion-based dislike than a reason-based argument. He is clearly doing something. It doesn't really matter if he was the first... it's still something. Saying he deserves no credit for that is like saying that Kobe deserves no credit for being a star shooting guard because Jordan really showed us how it was done.

Illuminaire, I appreciate the sentiments. I've made no bones about how modding the Wizards board is one of the easiest jobs on RealGM because the posters we have here are (in all honesty) a step about the usual message board crowd. You all are articulate, polite, well-reasoned and often very funny. Whatever disagreements that happen are usually handled without any need from a moderator. Other than keeping the board clean (merging threads where there is already a discussion taking place, locking threads that have little purpose for group discussion, etc), Wiz Board mods don't have to do much.

KZ is right that myself and Lyrical are only continuing what has been well-established by previous mods like Pine, WizStorm and JRo. He just lacks the respect, self-acknowledgment and emotional temperament to put it in a way that doesn't sound so angry and spiteful. But hey, if it gets him attention, he must be doing something right.

EDIT: This really is a great discussion about dumping Arenas for cap space.

Against my better judgment, I'll step into this one. As one of Miller's biggest opponents that's a load of dung. The whole snitch episode was essentially a long standing, running joke which was galvanized by me and Donk. It's incredibly callow to draw any type of theory as to how he got his ban hammer from this. The older mods have had a reduced role of this board and miller has stepped up to the plate. This board is indeed knowledgeable, which is why I keep my mouth shut on things I have no business speaking about, so whether you think your suspension was warranted or not, don't draw your arguments from conjecture and hypothetical theories about how you "think" things are run here.

This board has a great group of characters, and I'd love to meet all of you someday if I get the opportunity to visit D. C again. Lord knows I've been dying to crack a facking bat over miller's skull, share a joint with sumtingwong, go to a stripper bar with CCJ, teach hands11 the intricacies of a run-on sentence, teepee Pine's house with Donk, break nate's calculator and watch him cry like a b*tch, disable Rico's emoticon function, have lunch with DCzards and tell him I really don't hate his son but he's just a really bad coach, outfit Ji with highly conductive copper rods and tie him to a tree during a thunder storm, and krazy glue doc's mouth shut because for once I'd like to see him speechless.

...ah good times.

LOL.

My word is > than your word. Let's play this game again!

JWiz claims I based my argument on how I THINK things are run. No, maybe you based your response on how YOU THINK things are run here.

Because my words are > than your words right?

You all know I enjoy being the enemy here, so keep on piling on like the bunch of overgrown schoolyard kids you are.

And Miller? Please, RESPECT? Are you serious? Yes, please, let's all show due respect to our REALGM WIZARDS FORUM Hall Monitor Captain Miller.

JWiz, I just had practically a doctoral dissertation on stip clubs, massage parlors, and whorehouses deleted. Probably good that it was. :)

Suffice to say, my point from what you won't get to see is that like the aged outlaw, William Munny, in "Unforgiven", I'm not like that any more. This old dog is learning some new tricks. Romans 8:5 is something that I've learned and strive toward. I'm not going to lie like Snoop did when he said "But I don't love them hos". I will quote Freddie Mercury and say "Too much love will kill you". I want my soul, mind, and body to prosper now.

If you're in that stage I'm not going to condemn you, because I would be the biggest damned hypocrite in the world. Just that I can't go there with you.

Now, I just tip the waitress at Denny's man. Or Starbucks. After I get my veggie omlette or my fruit salad. I play off the winks I get at times from women about half my age, or the times the waitress rubs her hip on my shoulder. They probably think I'm gay.

Seriously, I carry my bible with me now. Keeps me in character and focused, if you know what I mean.
Bye bye Beal.

Come on, man, where's the fun in that?

How about we go to the beach where the women are wearing the teeniest of thongs, and I do my best not to look? You can look all you want and if a couple of them happen to come over I'll just go into my WWJD mode and remember that I've probably got useful life experience and a good heart, so God will protect me .... and her from me.

Tell them I'm your uncle, minister CCJ. I do carry my bible with me to the beach, too.
