.Why would we trade Kevin for nothing? He ends up becoming an all star for them.

^Agree. No logical reason to deal Seraphin. The three untouchables at this point need to be Wall, Beal, Seraphin. They should not hesitate in using Booker or Crawford in a deal to dump either Trever or Okafor...

I wouldn't call Wall, Beal, or Seraphin untouchable... but I wouldn't trade them unless it was going to help us get a foundational piece for the team.

Toronto's 2013 1st rd pick, which is gonna be VERY high (only top 2 protected in 2014) and PJ III is nothing for Seraphin? Talk about overrating your players.

What are the chances of getting a player as good as Seraphin outside of the first three picks in the draft though?

We were lucky to get him in the first place, and lucky that he is developing into a good player for us. Let's not throw him away so foolishly just yet, hey?

Is this a trick question? Pretty doggone easy because he's not that good.

It's very early in the season, but so far he's rebounding like a shooting guard, using possessions like a Star, but less efficiently than Blatche did. He's had some good games, but some awful ones as well. What he did last year -- in the GOOD stretch -- was perform like an average NBA player. So far this season, he's played poorly.

Maybe we could give it some more time before proclaiming him "good."

You're righ, untouchable is the wrong word. But I wouldn't actively shop those three...

This team is a mess and everyone should be on the table in trade discussion, but we should avoid making any trades right now. At this point, everyone on the roster has an all time low trade value. We need Wall and Nene back so that people can settle into their proper roles. Our primary offensive options should be Nene and Wall. Beal and Seraphin should be secondary options. Guys like Ariza, Booker, Webster and Okafor should be role players who only score in the flow of the offense. Vesely should never shoot unless it's a dunk. Crawford needs to play when he is hot, but needs to sit when he isn't.

If everyone plays their proper roles, they will be much more attractive as trading chips.

Nothing?

We get Motieujunas (I have as much confidence in his future, maybe more, than in Kevin's). Then, for Ariza and a round 2 pick, we get a high round 1 pick, a prospect (Jones) and a throwaway (Cook).

That would be a great deal. Only problem is that neither of the other teams would have any interest in it.

The deal would be OK for OKC. They dump Perkins and consolidate to get Seraphin, probably won't get them to take on Ariza and give up the pick. They might have some interest if they think Seraphin could be a cheap replacement for Ibaka.

However it is horrible for HOU. They take on Perkins and give up a significant asset(Montiejunas).

Would anyone be interested in a Vesely for Miles Plumlee trade? Plumlee performed well at the Combine and Summer League and the Pacers just sent him to the D-League. We could use an athletic big

Kevin Love comes back and Derrick Williams so far has ZERO minutes going into the 3rd quarter. Seriously ! his skill sets are perfect for the Wiz.

Vesely (to mold into Kirilenko)
Crawford
Rights to Satornasky
2014 Lotto Protected Pick

for Derrick Williams/Malcolm Lee

Wall/Livingston
Beal/Webster
Ariza/Singleton
Nene/Williams
Seraphin/Okafor

This works but adding the 2014 lotto protected pick is giving up too much.

I think Vesley and Crawford would be a good deal for the Wizards. I think the twolves want more than a straight up deal since they were drafted in the same draft. Booker might be another possible incentive.

I question any trade for williams where the Wiz send out anything of value. The guy looks like a bona fide bum 4 out of every 5 games. The other game he merely looks average.

How about this since the blazers are pretty much assured a lotto team:

Aldridge for 2013 unprotected 1st, booker, vesely, okafor.

It'd have to be done at the deadline or even on draft night to assure the picks high, but this draft looking so weak right now.

Nene for Perkins+Thabo+Toronto Pick

Thunder pay an extra 1.5 million this year (Difference between Nene and Thabo+Perkins), 500k next year (Difference between Nene and Thabo+Perkins), 4 million year after (Difference between Nene and Perkins), and 13 million for Nene's last year.

Bobcats Trade: Ben Gordon, 2013 and 2014 2nd Round Picks
Bobcats Recieve: Nene, Earl Clark

Why? Is there a better fit at center than Nene for this team (besides Dwight)? I don't think so. Big upgrade here. They sacrifice some cap space in the next couple years but it would be extremely difficult to get a player as good as Nene to come to Charlotte.

Nene /Mullens /Haywood /Diop
Biyombo /Thomas
Kidd-Gilchrist /Taylor /Clark
Henderson /Williams /Higgins
Walker /Sessions
(14 players)

Wizards Trade: Nene, Trevor Ariza, Jan Vesely, 2013 Top 8 Protected 1st Round Pick
Wizards Recieve: Pau Gasol, Steve Blake

Why? Okafor and Nene seems like a terrible fit. Judging by their recent moves, the Wizards are looking to make the playoffs this year. Pau Gasol and John Wall is a legit 1-2 punch to get them in the top 8 in the East. Also, Pau is on a much shorter deal than Nene so if they end up failing, they can rebuild quickly with his near $20 million expiring next year. Steve Blake will provide them a much needed backup PG.

Okafor /Seraphin /Barron
Gasol /Booker
Webster /Singleton /Martin
Beal /Crawford /Livingston
Wall /Blake /Price
(14 players)

Lakers Trade: Pau Gasol, Steve Blake, Earl Clark
Lakers Recieve: Ben Gordon, Trevor Ariza, Jan Vesely, 2013 Top 8 Protected 1st Round Pick, 2013 and 2014 2nd Round Picks

Why? Cap space. Youth. It's time to end the relationship with Pau as all he is being used for is an (ineffective) spot up shooter. His defense has been mediocre at best at times and he has overall been a negative player to have on the court. Lakers have Hill to fill a lot of his minutes, as well as World Peace, who might be better suited (on offense and defense) to play the 4 at this point in his career and in the D'Antoni system. Bryant-Ariza-World Peace-Howard with any other guard makes one of the best defensive lineups ever and will work even better on offense with Nash running it. Ben Gordon will be an incredible scorer off the bench which is what LA needs more than anything. And they will get to see what Nash can do with Vesely who can be like a Euro Shawn Marion. The draft picks can also help should the Lakers look to replace some more of their bigger contracts with cheap younger options.

Howard /Hill /Sacre
World Peace /Jamison
Ariza /Vesely /Ebanks
Bryant /Gordon /Meeks /Johnson-Odom
Nash /Morris /Duhon
(15 players)

Your proposed trade has the Wizards giving up a lottery pick in order to spend 34 million dollars on the center position and win 35-42 games a year.

Thanks but no thanks.
