doclinkin's Official complain about the Board & Mods Thread

Post#1 » by doclinkin » Sun Apr 4, 2010 2:10 pm

This one's Totally Official.

Seems to me too many threads get hijacked by people whining about process and or getting their due respect on these boards. And where in tarnation is pine anyway, I miss that cat. Anyway, feel free to dump all your gripes and generally 'sand in thebritches' fussing in this here Official Bonafide Top-Notch Hi-Quality Well-Conceived Officially Official Thread Thread.

Here to start us off, my man handsy:

hands11 wrote:Oh, and can you change the title Mohamed.

Its great that you started it, but it's not your OFFICIAL TED THREAD.

I think Ted Tread would be fine. Never understood what made a thread official. Is there some application to fill out. None of the threads I started ever made it to OFFICIAL status. Even after there were tons of posts in it. Maybe someone can help me understand how I get a mod to make one of them Official.

Seems like the same type of stuff is written in the regular threads as in the Official threads.

Agree Doc, the board needs to be monitored more and some threads merged. However our board is waaay better than a lot of the others.

Actually I got no real complaints about our board, nor mods, I think they do a fine job. And that may be the only time you hear me say that, because it's hella more fun to clown on Miller31snitch. He handles it alright.

But if people want to complain, I'm just saying, maybe they need a thread just for venting spleen, so the rest of us can feel free to ignore it. There's a reason I waste time on this board and not other places. Must be pretty good.

This way new comers can be directed to this thread whenever they get lockblocked a few dozen times, and they can work out their issues here, then get over it and move on. Conform. Follow the herd. Baa. I regret that Lucrazi got snuffed since he had a spark of passion and was kinda funny for a minute there. Some of our more durable posters have always been premature thread-jaculators creating mobs of new threads. Fine. Good to have passion. Better to direct it productively and stop talking on top of everybody since you think your opinion is more important. Takes a while to fit into the running conversation instead of standing on a soapbox and shouting at passersby.

But many WizFans have been ideological outcasts in the sporting world, shunned, marginalized, desperate to be heard. It takes a while to get used to the idea that we're all the same kind of leper in here.

Hey, our Mods are worth every penny they're paid.

We need to merge all our threads into 1. It would definitely reduce the clutter. Just close the thread when it reaches 100 pages, and start over. Except keep this thread open, too. Oh, and have another thread for a particular poster to go on about why every poster here sucks... except for him. That way, if we're in a self-mutilation mood, we can always get our fix there sans real blood.

Can we change this thread title to "Doclinkin's Totally Official 'Complain about the Board or Mods' Thread"?

As the people's moderator, I say, sure! Although I couldn't fit the 'Totally' in there at all. That Totally sucks.

Therefore: these boards suck.

Mods have sucked since Jro and Pine passed the reigns down to miller.

Boards have sucked since WizardsKev became TSW and stopped posting here.

Mods can I have my own "Official Wiards2Lottery Complain About the Coaching Staff thread"? I know I already have the Amazingly Sucky Flip Saunders thread but that has been hijacked by CCJ and Hands. I don't feel like a part of it anymore. Would like my own personal sanctuary where I can bitch and complain my heart out.

Blah Blah's Totally Offical threads are hard to find. I spent *minutes* the other day looking for the thread on Ted Leonsis.

That was a lame lock on the McNabb thread.

What is wrong with us being able to talk about it here ?

We have thread about absolutely nothing and they stay open.

You can use that thread about absolutely nothing to talk about it here and they will be powerless to stop you.

Great idea. LOL... Good thinking.

So that was a total shocker to hear in the new. McNabb coming to DC.

Now we can start working on an offensive line.

I miss the Redskins thread on the Wiz board. I understand they are trying to get people to use the Redksins board, but it seemed to get a lot more posts than the whole Redskins board.

I just wish there was a SUPER ignore so that when someone
you DON'T have on ignore makes the faux paus of quoting someone
you DO have on ignore, it either ignores it or strips out the drivel.
