I hate to damper the mood, but did anyone notice that Wall looked sort of unhappy?

i was thinking the same thing. however, i'm pretty sure that can be chalked up to Lebron being in his ear about the two of them starting a dynasty in Brooklyn, and the shattered hopes thereof. He doesn't realize that he's got a great situation here with blatche, gil, miller, and mcgee all ready to run and gun. If he HAD gone to jersey he would be playing mo williams AND fighting devin harris for minutes. i would much rather be unleashed with a young run/gun team in an underrated city like DC than playing half court ball with Lebron dominating the rock in f***ing jersey.

The interview was a bit tepid, but there seems to be reasons to believe that he's on-board...

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2010 ... id=5199392

Wall and his circle of friends and agents were thrilled over the Wizards getting the top pick. While they were all being cautious not to offend the Sixers or Nets in case the Wizards had a change of heart, there was a clear indication that they anticipate going to Washington.

"President Obama can be at your games," said Wall, as he stood outside on Fegan's patio. "I'll keep working hard and hopefully they'll pick me."

Fegan said he just wanted for Wall to get a "good opportunity. This is a big market with a good opportunity. I've been in situations where we wonder what the teams are going to do. This one is 'wow.' "

I'm not sure what to make of the video as I haven't really seen him on camera outside of games. I did see that 'Cousins street interviews' in NY thing and Wall seemed a bit shy.

I ain't worried.

Student of the game:

Wall is already scouting his future competition to pick up a few pointers. Wall was at Staples Center for Game 1 of the Western Conference finals Monday night to watch the Lakers and Suns and said he spent the evening studying Kobe Bryant's footwork.

"I have to work on mine," Wall said.

Wall will be the number one pick. Now all that is needed is to get Michael Beasley for Blatche, and maybe trade Arenas.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

As a heat fan theres no way heat give you guy beasley... for blatche..

Now if we can dump Bealsey+ #18 pick, cook AND jones for a future pick, then yea you can have him, it may seem unlikely they trade beasley this offseason.

Or you guys can trade us John Wall for Beasley? (inb4 wiz fans try to lynch me )

As a Wizards fan I can tell you the whole Blatche-for-Beasley thing is a disgrace pushed by a minority of posters here and is no more palatable to us than it is to you.

Hopefully that's the last said on the matter as even the idea is a disgrace to the John Wall thread.

“I’m a good leader,” Wall said. “I can change an organization around like I did at Kentucky. They had losing seasons … and myself and a couple other freshmen and teammates that came back, we changed everything around. That’s what I hope to do for any team I get drafted by.”

 Just what we needed.

Not bad - although #11 is retired (Big E). But, as Sports Bog tweeted, #0 is available. ;)
