I have been a big Young fan for a while and targeted him as a "stretch 4" over the summer, as I thought he represented some "hidden value" because Collins hadn't let him shoot 3's (I was right, he's shooting 35%).

So why am I posting this in this thread?

Because look at the career and current season metrics on Young vs. Booker.

They're comparable players -- Booker is in fact far better in some important areas, and Young is 2-4 times more expensive! If Booker can just stay healthy, he can actually help here. And I bet because his raw numbers are low that he's not going to fetch very much on the open market and he thus represents significant value.

I like the fact that Book has not been trying to rebound one handed of late.
Style points do not necessarily translate winning basketball.

good post FIsh. Advanced metrics do actually favor Booker. The one thing Thad Young
does better is shoot the 3. In almost every other area, Booker is clearly better.
