dlts20 wrote:sorry to all my fellow Wiz fans that wanted someone to replace Dray :-)

Seriously though, I think the Wiz wanted this guy pretty much all along. I think they still believe in Dray, McGee, and even like Book & Seraphin. They wanted a 3 and Im totally down wit it

Playing devil's advocate and assuming you are right: They selected a three with extreme size. They got a big who should be along with Booker and McGee, just dunking everything in sight. They got a guy who can defend maybe the Dirk Nowitzki's and even the Paul Pierce's of the league. I've seen the guy run. Not too many teams will want to run with Wall, McGee, this guy, and Booker. What I like is he's a Euro because I think he'll have a different maturity level, being already 21 years old and having played FIBA ball. No, he doesn't replace Dray but yes, he's got skills that Dray does not. Vertical game should be better. I'm guessing defense will be a strength with Vesely.

We'll see if the guy pans out to be a good or great pick. I think he'll be solid and a crowd favorite--sort of like an Amundsen or very poor man's Kirilenko of 3 years ago.
Bye bye Beal.

Ernie confirmed for joke GM.

Does he even look at whether a player is good at basketball before he picks him? He's basically the forward version of rookie Javale McGee. Does he really think that John Wall is going to spend the entire game tossing up lobs to our unskilled athuletes and that will win games?

I feel like this franchise is becoming the new Redskins - making moves designed to put an exciting product on the floor, not to win games, let alone titles.

Don't know about this Vesely guy. We needed somebody with a jump shot and it appears that's one of his weaknesses. But we did need a SF and he appears to be the best avail so it is what it is.

I do like the Chris Singleton pick tho.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Maybe Ernie is trying to re-draft him with the #34 pick...

I'll be the first to say this , he is a future star. Don't be shocked if he makes a few all star games in 5 years. I love his motor and energy. Plus he has great size

That's what she said.

My immediate question about Jan Vesely is how many minutes after he left the green room at MSG do you think before he and the GF got busy?

I think her motor probably runs higher (and certainly longer) than his.
Bye bye Beal.

I'll say this...high motor, hard-working and super athletic = crowd favorite.

The VC is gonna love this guy.

Hi guys, I was posting on this board for few days, now when the pick's official I report myself as new Wizards fan. I can read Czech so if you would need to transalte soemthing' I'm here.

I won't stop to be bobcats fan though especially after this draft. 3 or 4 games per season I can stand to be conflicted.)
