Our mid season struggles coincided with a tougher schedule and a number of players
ie. Nene just playing badly. Which was the cause and which was the effect?

how much worse than his Wiz career #s has Nene been since say Feb 1? (or pick some other
date).

Oh. I haven't run the numbers in a couple weeks now. Hoping to get to it tomorrow.

That said, here's a few numbers from basketball-reference.

During Nenê's 4 seasons in Washington, he's had an offensive rating of 102 and a defensive rating of 102. (Defensive rating is a flawed stat, but I'll use it here because we're comparing Nenê to himself and his role with the team is unchanged.) Here are his monthly splits this season:

Code: Select all

Nenê    ortg    drtg
Oct/Nov 91      100
Dec     108     101
Jan     105     103
Feb     100     105
Mar     85      104

So Nene's D hasn't changed that much but his O fell off a cliff.
That would be what my eyes say as well.

Ted will extend Wittman and rightfully so. Back to back playoff appearances are key.

Official Randy Wittman Thread - Eat the Contract Ted

Ted, Ernie & Randy are going nowhere. All that needed to happen to ease the pressure on Ted was for us to avoid getting swept, and that has happened.

#FireErnie ~ Because he believed Stephen Curry couldn't help us and Jan Vesely could.

We haven't avoided getting swept... it's going to happen next round vs Atlanta, a team that isn't 20+ wins better than us on paper, but has an actual coach.

Ted will see the difference loud and clear

Atlanta lost Sefolosha in the police battery incident. Millsap may not be 100%.

The Hawks finished the season playing barely over .500 basketball.

And they would still beat us in 5 or less, imagine that

I'd coach and act as a GM for the Wizards for free, just need accommodation and food, I can speak 4 languages fluently and follow prospects closely, I have a coaching degree from Spain also.

That is hilarious! One of the funnier aspects of the video is Bradley Beal. He has a nonplussed look on his face for most of the video. Then at the very end, Beal seems to recognize his coach's clipboard challenges and his expression turns to WTF!

That's true, but they nailed down home court against everyone but Golden State and really seemed to be in rest-and-regroup cruise control. I'm not necessarily taking that as a measure of how dangerous they are now that the playoffs have started. It will be interesting to see whether they and Golden State can sustain their successes through to the finals.

Maybe someone took that tablet into the bathroom and Witt knows.

You can clearly see he's trying to wipe something off. I hear there's free porn on the Internet.
