Both the Caps and Wiz could be advancing to the 2nd round by the end of the weekend. When was the last time we had TWO teams in the same season win a playoff series?

These are good times for pro sports in the area. Wizards, Caps, Nats, Os, DCUnited -- they're all doing well.

The only exception is the Washington Snyders.

Pssh take the Os out. They are no D.C. team. Dirty Baltimore.

Nats are underachieving at the moment though. I have a bad feeling they could have another 2013 like season where they choke under the pressure of expectations. The Mets have won I think 11 in a row now and teams that win 10+ in a row in MLB at any point in the season make the playoffs over 75% of the time.

Os slipping a bit this week but probably will be a contender for postseason when it's all said and done
around the time the next NBA season is almost upon us.

Dirty Baltimore.

Anyway, the baseball season is so long, you just cannot make a judgement on a team based on a small sample size. Particularly when a team has a number of significant injuries as the Nats have had to start the season.

The General Board series thread is a lot less entertaining with the series being so one-sided so far.
Not that I am complaining.

EJ is not only the coach of Rutgers, he's also about to become a graduate of Rutgers.

http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports. ... g/related/

When Rutgers head coach Eddie Jordan took the job at his alma mater two years ago, he did so without having completed his bachelor’s degree from the university. Jordan, who majored in the now defunct physical education program at Rutgers, was 11 credits short of graduating when he left the school to go play in the NBA in 1977.

After taking the Rutgers job it was determined that Jordan had even more credits to complete in order to get his degree. So the head coach went to work as a student, while also running the men’s basketball program. In a fun read from Jerry Carino of the Ashbury Park Press, Jordan goes through the rigors of being a “student-coach” as he’s taken two summer classes and one class per regular semester during his tenure as Rutgers head coach.

Barring any unforseen setbacks, Jordan is expected to graduate in May and will walk with the rest of the student population at graduation. Jordan’s degree will be in Labor Studies and Employment Relations and he’s often been seen at study hall, with his players, working on papers or projects.

How cool is that?

I think EJ is a great mentor to young men. He's where he belongs IMO.

That's way cool - and another reason to like Rutgers - as they joined the Big Ten with Maryland.

Does anyone know how many times both beal and wall have scored over 25 in the same game.? I'm guessing it's probably less than 5.

One of my co-workers is a die hard Raptors fan. He talked so much trash leading up to the playoffs. Now....he hasn't said a word. Even changed his wallpaper quietly from Demar Derozan to Jose Bautista.

The North will always remember....the ass whooping they received.

I know the circumstances surronding it sucks, but watching this O's game without a fan in the park is pretty cool. You can hear the sounds of the game so well, and the players are having fun with it.

Ah shucks, thanks guys. Apparently, they've lowered the standards since when Raf was selected, but the pay is the same.

i would also welcome Ruzious to the club.

Every time there's a new mod named, I feel like it's about time for the entire board to review just exactly how Miller became a mod and, later, a global mod.

JWiz -- take it away.

Good thing Ramon Sessions is a Wizard. I gotta stay on your good side now. :)

Congratulations! I am sure you will be fair and reasonable.

It's still being processed. You'll hear back from a RealGM Representative in approximately 6-8 weeks.

And remember, if you don't hear back in that span of time, just keep waiting.
