I wonder if the Heat will lose before we play them 15 games from now.

I wonder how much my tix for that game would be worth if they still are
on the winning streak.

I hope they don't lose until they play the Wizards. Washington has the right mix to beat them for some really weird reason.

I am also looking forward to the upcoming Laker game. The Lakers are playing better, even with Kobe hurting.

First day of Spring and we get nice sunny weather. Too bad it won't last.

struck by the total awfull-ness on so many levels about the high school
kid who got shot in his neighbor's house.

Kid gets grounded for having messy room, sneaks out with the help of friends to go to party
where he gets drunk. His 'friends' help him home except they help him break into the wrong
house, 2 doors down from where he lives (how trashed was he to not know he was at the wrong house?).
His neighbor, probably scared out of his mind, ends up shooting him after reportedly firing a
warning shot. Hard to imagine who feels the worst about this whole thing. Parents, friends, neighbor...

The senselessness of it all is what really angers me about this.

Sadly, no lessons will be learned from this.

It would be interesting to hear the neighbor talk openly about how he feels about the 2nd amendment now.

Guys, Opening Day is today, please take a moment to go over the Nats board. It was a pretty quiet offseason, but with high expectations this year, hopefully we can become more active on the boards. Feel free to start game threads for each series and such. We've never had a team, at least in the last 20 years to go into the season with this much hype.

Also make sure to visit the Redskins board as well for your offseason news.

The Americans on FX is a really good show. Highly recommend it for anyone who likes spy/thriller type shows.

I need to catch up on The Americans. I'm only 2 episodes in and have really enjoyed it.

I just watched Homeland (both season 1 and 2) in the span of a week. What an awesome show.

Brand new. Just started in Jan/Feb.

my fav spy/thriller type show is MI-5

especially because it's on PBS and you don't have to endure
intelligence insulting commercials to watch it.
