The kiddies will be saying, "Trick or Sleet?". (I stole that).
Bye bye Beal.

Here is a disturbing story about betting on youth football:

Is this hypocritical?

I've pretty much dissed Peter Vecsey's NBA reporting for being constantly wrong. Plus viewed him as a muckraker. But, I thought it was kinda cool when I had a Twitter conversation with him. And when he re-tweeted something I posted. And when he followed me.

It is hypocritical. I know.

I'm so ashamed. :nonono:

About 1/3 of our staff came as "the Walking Dead" yesterday -- could have saved a lot of makeup if they'd just photographed us on Monday morning . . .

Actually hoping for Daylight Savings Time for the first time in my memory; getting hard to get moving in the A.M.

Bah, I hate Daylight Savings Time. So depressing when it's pitch black at 5 o clock.

Magic Johnson remains my favorite player of all time, but his Twitter feed is awful.

+1 (x2) on Kev/Higga

less daylight makes me SAD (seasonal affective disorder)

Don't follow anyone on twitter but loved Magic as a player. One of my all time favs.

Good news from Jacqui after 1st day of tryouts. She believes she already has a very
good idea who will be on the team (JV) and it includes her. I was worried about a logjam
since last year's varsity only lost 1 player to graduation. This will mean I may have some
game tix for sale on nights when she plays since her games will end about 7 o'clock.

The first couple of weeks after this switch might be my least favorite time of the year. Even if I leave the office the exact same time today as I did a week ago, just having it be dark already makes it feel like I worked more hours, means I'm less likely to do anything constructive during my evening hours, etc. Eventually I'll adjust, but until that sets in, the world is just a little less happy of a place.

A couple of classy NBA team moments. Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio traveling with the team instead of staying home despite their injuries and the whole Warriors squad going to see Brandon Rush. Not putting them up for the Nobel Prize but classy acts from what I can tell.

First New York gets ravaged by Sandy. Now it's getting snow. Man I feel bad for the people of NYC.

moment of truth later today for Jacqui as South Lakes girls HS teams
will be announced. BTW - Christy Scott-Winters is more attractive in person
than on TV. But Jacqui informs me (from last year) that she's just
like most other hoop's coaches in giving her team the business (vocally)
during practices. (CS-W is the SLHS girl's varsity coach)

was there a BB consensus that I missed that no one was going to use
the new-ish And 1 button or am I just weird? I kinda like it.
