I agree.

They might as well have named us the Gentrifiers who wear flip flops, pay inflated rents and buy overpriced organic crap.

I can remember my parents asking me what I wanted for my 12th birthday. I asked for a roll of quarters so I could get some of these for Time Out at Springfield Mall. I remember if you got the high score for a week you won five dollars in tokens. The employee would put an index card on the top of the game showing who was the champ for the week. I loved that place.

Dude, I LOVED going to Time Out! Then they even got Time Out 2 eventually. A perfect day for me was a stop at Orange Julius right below Time Out, and then hangin out at the Galaga game for a few hours.

Bring back Alex the Bullet (the first great red mini dachshund mascot), who famously peed on Mendy Rudolph's foot during a time out in one of the Bullets-Knicks playoff games at the Baltimore Civic Center in 1969.

Hey TinyToo, did hear about Luskins reopening again?
I tried to tell you about this a few months back but I guess you did not see the thread.

Bring back Weile's Creations. If you're not over 40, ya never heard of it, and the icecream wasn't the best (Giffords was better.), but the creativity made it the most enjoyable icecream parlor I've ever been to. And bring back Bob's Big Boy.

Man, those Timeout pics bring back some memories. I remember waiting amid crowds of kids 10 deep to play Pac-Man when it first came out. Gorf though, was my jam, and Galaga.

Do you remember the Bob's across the street from the Watergate?

I remember being told that Bird, Magic and Jordan etc... would all go there when they were in town playing against the Bullets but I never saw them when I was there and I was there all the time. :(

Wizards...might have well named us the Elfs, Fairies, or Unicorns... :banghead:

OK, you got me, Fairies would have been a lot worse . . . or Seadogs. Don't have any real problems with Wizards; nowhere near as lame/overplayed a name as, say, Bobcats.

Hey WTA, I forget where your favorite thread is (or even what it's called) but I thought you needed to know about this right away.

As usual. Attention seeking and stealing from the past.

The funny this about all of these attention seeking events is if you try and do a Google search for SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1976, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1978, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1982, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1984, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1988, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1991, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1995, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 1998, SEERSUCKER SOCIAL DC 2000... you will find NO results. Zero. Zilch. NONE.

None of these attenton seeking events date back any further than the past 5 or 6 years.
