He creates, jacks it up with 20 seconds left on the clock and misses it about 60% of the time... :-?

Relax, it's his non-shooting hand.

Of course highlights are just that but the way he shoots and the way he dunks the ball in traffic, this kid has potential to be an amazing scorer.
Just let the young boys play! It's truly the only hope at this point.

You know it's amazing, Washington just can't catch a break.

Just as Beal is starting to come into his own he gets sidelined by a wrist injury. What makes the whole thing so suspect to me is how the injury seems to be following the typical Wizards protocol.

It's not that bad, he can play through it, he sees a specialist and all of a sudden he's shut down and the only thing coming out of the Wizards organization, silence.

He probably has a broken wrist, and the Wizards crack medical staff is once again left with a big **** egg on their face.

They'd probably botch the amputation -- "oh no, we took off the wrong hand!."

Maybe you are right and they really are on crack. :) Still, I didn't know about smoking crack leaving you with egg on your face. Must be some preparation method I've never yet read about.
Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....

What do you guys think is Beals peak? After seeing how great he has been playing the two months, I think his peak could be a top 10 player in the NBA assuming he works on his ball handling and iso's.

Top 10 player seems a little optimistic. It's rare that jump shot relient guards ever sniff the top 10. I think he definitely has potential to be a top 10 guard though.

Im just sitting back and enjoying watching him play right now.

A Wade/Allen hybrid can be a very good player. When ? Who knows.

He is in interesting player. I didn't think he would turn the light switch on as quickly as he did last time before he got injured and I didn't see him doing it like he did again tonight. He was terrible last game. And he started this game bad as well. Then all the sudden. He just took off.

Who knows with this young man. But kind of fun to know that kind of potential is there. He could be one of those break the mold types. Clearly the potential to do it is there. He has shown that much. Doing it is another thing. But he clearly can. He has the mental make up to do it also.

Things are looking really good when it comes to Beal.

I think a healthy Eric Gordon is his likely peak. Maybe I am wrong and he is more like Ray Allen or Harden, but I would not expect him to reach those levels.

A healthy Eric Gordon (with average defense) is a top-5 SG and a top-30 player.

I'd be down for that.

He is definitely over his rookie jitters. He struggled his first game back from injury, missed his first shot last night, then went off. Good players do stuff like that but gunshy rookies don't. I think last night was a testament to how far he has come confidence wise.

If there is one thing that Beal has never lacked it's confidence. Even when he was struggling early on, his body language always seemed to say "I got this!"

He's a very impressive 19 year old on a lot of levels.

Ray Allen.

Yeah I said it.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

In 17 games since January 1st, Beal is averaging 15.1 points, 2.9 boards and 2.4 assists in 32.2 minutes per game. His TS% over that stretch is .555. His 3P% is .529. :o

Per 36, he is averaging 16.9 points, 3.2 boards and 2.7 assists with a TS% of .555. And he plays D.

The current frontrunner for ROTY, Damian Lilliard, is averaging 17.0 points, 3.1 boards and 6.1 assists on a TS% of .534 per 36. His defense stinks.
