Even though Beal hasn't gotten off to a good start i am not feeling any buyers remorse. Waiters actually has a lower TS% than Beal. Barnes looks like who we thought he was. TRob is doing nothing. Some people are touting Drummond but he only plays 18 minutes per game and is probably a beneficiary of garbage time stat padding.

Brad seems to be coming along really well.
Last night's line was better than solid -- 15 points on 12 shots, with 7 boards, 4 assists, a steal and a single turnover. He passes my personal eye test -- seems to have excellent court awareness, particularly for a teenager.

I was thinking the same thing--he seems to be coming along, but still hasn't done anything to make me think the Wiz got a steal with the #3 pick.
The one thing I am still concerned about is the season's a quarter of the way through and we've yet to see Beal have an 'eff you' game. Call me crazy, but is it too much to want Beal to drop 35 points in a game on ridiculous shooting? There hasn't been one moment all season where I thought Beal is the best player on the floor.
He should have been traded for Harden and I'm affraid I'll hold this against Beal his entire career.

Yes, at this stage of his rookie season -- at just 19 -- it's way too much to ask and you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
There have been numerous posts about how Beal stacks up nicely to other rookie teenaged SG's. Hell, look at the
rookie game logs of Lebron James (and Beal is nowhere near the prospect Lebron was).
lebron didnt break 30 until game 17 and had some terrible shooting stretches.
Kobe didn't break 30 until the 19th game of his second season and didn't score 35 until game 27 of his third year. You absolutely have to give Beal time.

Agree with Fish. I don't think we should be looking for Beal to score 30+ points. What I want to see is steady improvement, poise and the maturity/ability to deal with the frustration that comes from losing. I think we're seeing all three from Beal, which says an awful lot for a 19 year old who's being asked to do more for his team than most other rookies.

Ya he's getting to the line more and making his FTs. He's also only averaging 1.3 TOs

The game is finally slowing down for Beal. He seems to be a talented passer and rebounder. And I love his effort on defense, this pick is looking better and better.

I say Beal should be forced to take at least 20 shots per game, or be fined.
And Crawford should be forced to drive to the basket 10 times per game or be fined.
thats should develop those two into something that the Wizard's need.

Great to see the rook getting some love on ESPN as a potential fantasy pickup.
Bradley Beal, SG, Washington Wizards (ATL, @ORL, @DET, DET): Thrown into major minutes after A.J. Price sustained a broken hand, the 19-year-old Beal now seems to be "getting it." He has been playing almost 40 minutes per night over his past three games and is averaging 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.8 3-pointers over his past four games. In that span, Beal is shooting 85 percent from the line (17-for-20) on 5.0 attempts per game. Beal's shooting is his one concern from a fantasy perspective. While he has been OK during this four-game surge (23-for-56, 41.1 percent), Beal is still shooting just 36.2 percent from the floor for the season.

Hey do Dleague players get practice time with the NBA teams?
if so, I wouldnt mind sending him and vesley to the Dleague, to get more mins of play time to improve, while keeping practice with the Wizards.
Especially Vesly. I am liking how Beal is turning out. Would like him to play more and shoot more.
And with Vesly, I feel that Wall's passing makes Vesly better player, and since Wall not there, Vesly's assist isnt showing. So best to develop him, and give him more play time.

The shots weren't falling v Miami tonight but I liked his aggressiveness. He was finding ways to get his shot off and was showing some variety...the shots will eventually drop more consistently...

+1 Take-away Jan's set-up dunks and you see exactly what's left of his game, not much.

No. Our D-League affiliate is in Des Moines (or at least it was last year). You send a guy to D-League, and you're sending him to Iowa.

My first time to see Beal starting live was yesterday against the Lakers and he scores only 4 points then next game he scores 19 smh. Would've loved to see Beal play since I haven't watched too many Wiz games this season.
Hope Wall comes back in form and help out Beal in the backcourt soon.

If it was up to me, I'd have Bradley shoot as much as possible. Not that he's proven to be a great shooter or anything, but so he could get a feel for the game quicker and be more assertive. I think he needs to work on his handles more and develop a go to move where he can create enough space. And Just Drive man, Drive. He's the only one on the team that can get to the line consistently. I've always thought since Pre draft that his release was a little slow, but I know 2-3 yrs down the line, he's gonna be money. He's far from a finish product.
