You can't spend your whole fall and summer reading about John Wall's bowel movements. 90% of the people on here are Skins fans and we all like to hear everyone else's thoughts or we wouldn't be on the forum. Click the freaking Redskin above so you can i)let us know all of your Skins thoughts to date and ii)help me with my fantasy football keeper decision. Do it. DO IT. (name that movie while you're there).

Bump since the season is officially starting. There's still time to get your last minute predictions in, which you can post here:

viewtopic.php?f=182&t=1198449

Also, check post your thoughts on the Saints game in the official game thread.

Go Skins!

Washington has a superstar, finally.

Robert Griffin III is the real deal.
Bye bye Beal.

Robert Griffin III

Simply. Sensational.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

I hadn't missed a Skins opener in 40 years. Yesterday, for some reason, my DVR failed to record the game.

Talk about a bummer...

Not gonna get carried away but... Oh well, f@ck it. Woooooooooooooo frickin hoooooooooooooo!!!

Thanks Lyrical, all we have to do is beat the undefeated Falcons whose number 1 strength (WR's) exploits are #1 weakness (secondary) good times, good times.

Hey Wes, you still think the Skins gave up too much for RGIII? :D

Seriously people, click on the freaking Redskin icon to go and comment.
WizKev (Nevik) has a great RG3 article posted, the Steelers game thread is up (and we actually have a shot) and Cooley vs. are other tight end discussions are going on. Hit the sticks.

Guys, I'm not trying to lay a guilt trip here but Wizards fans aren't the only ones who need a support group. Sure I could go brave the overcrowded, under-intellectual zoo that is extremeskins but I'd love to get anyone's thoughts on the following:

Did Shanny really give up on the season? Can you picture Gibbs ever doing that?

Will Garcon be back after the bye week?

Will Jamal Brown and Merriwhether coming back do any good?

Do you blame the GM? I thought last year's draft was pretty kick a$$, this year's not as much so far (save of course RG3 who has been worth everything)

Speaking of RG3, did the Panthers map out a blue print to slow him down? (for the sake of discussion only, ignore how little his surrounding cast save Alfred Morris is doing for him)

You mean Mike Shanahan? Allan is only on the staff to write contracts.. Mike makes ALL player acquisitions/decisions.. So yea, even though they have no depth, what they do have is due to Mike.. He gets full credit for the team he puts on the field and 3 years in they still look like total crap.. Even the offense sucks now that the league has some tape on our college/gimmick plays.. He and Kyle are going to ruin RGIII unless they get their heads out of their ass and let the kid take his licks in a pro style offense..

I believe it more to it than that. Skins just are hurt up, and the offense isn't playing well in some area. The recievers need to improve. And Oline just may never be good.
The Dline is really messed up this year.

Mickstix, my understanding was that the Shannahan's are very particular about their O-lineman and their RB's (and obviously when the rare opportunity for a qb comes along most coaches are) but the rest--particularly defense is left to the GM.

Mike's definitely an offensive specialist, but he has final say on "all" player acquisitions/decisions. It was a (well publicized) requirement of his, before agreeing to coach the Redskins.. (Was also his requirement in Denver, and probably the main reason he got fired)

@Knight: Yea, there banged up, no doubt.. Still doesnt excuse the repeated false starts, illegal formations, drive ending/opp extending personal fouls, special teams blunders, etc... Team lacks discipline, and it was my understanding that that was one thing a Mike Shanahan team would have plenty of??

yeah, the skins are the most penalized team in the league but it's hard to be a curmudgeon after THAT!
