Wow is that not true. The only person I've kept on my ignore list is a guy who starts MANY posts with some variation on the theme that whatever the point someone else just made, he made the same point two weeks earlier in some other thread. Lots of folks like to remind everyone how smart they are.

CCJ was right about you.

What's funny is the person Kev cites joined the board with a post saying CCJ is usually right about everything and he agrees with him.

Personally I like this vanity thread, especially as a dumping ground anytime CCJ wants to toot his own horn in another thread, he can just drop it here instead. :clown:

Nah what's fun about CCJ is that he will go from high to low and back again with equal enthusiasm, sing his own praises and rip his own mistakes. Own up and man up as well as strut his swag. I no longer have the time and energy to squabble over this stuff right now, but enjoy the heckoutta those willing to fight it out, both ways, all the time. CJ among 'em, he's consistent in his inconstancy :)

TGW, real life is where sickness, divorce, attorney fees, death, taxes, and bosses you cannot stand take place. (At least I don't have a bad boss. :D ) Recently, a kidnapping with young people being brutalized hit very, very close to home. Real life is the stuff to get upset about. Not this forum or what I post.

Dude, just put me on ignore if I bother you that much. I'm not going to change for you. I probably couldn't change if I wanted to at this point. It is all in fun. For me it is, TGW.

OPINION: This reminds me of something. IMO the single worst thing about political discourse is candidates attack and attempt to demonize or vilify their political opponent. Instead of talking about issues and legitimate philosophical differences, they take the low road. They talk about people and make things personal. I know it is never going to change but it bothers me.
Bye bye Beal.

Ccj is wrong sometimes. But he is right much, much more often than more than half of the GMs in the NBA.

I think what happens is when you are getting paid $5 million to be right, you become much more conservative.

Well if that's the case, ALL of us are "more right" than NBA GMs. In the draft where we subsequently took Vesely, I also loved Faried NH. I was disappointed that we didn't take him with either pick, but I didn't decide to make it my agenda to make everyone on Realgm know that I liked Faried. I didn't try and work Faried in every post that I created and tried to turn every thread into the Kenneth Faried shrine.

The only difference between CCJ and anyone else on this board is that no one else but CCJ toots his own horn.

Ummm, didn't you just toot your own horn about how you don't toot your own horn?

If a person thinks something, then he or she should post it -- what else is a board like this for? What are you expected to post? Things you *don't* think?
Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....

Hey when will be the best time to start a new draft thread? I am interested in checking out what some of our community scouts have picked out to fit the Wizards well.

No, I definitely think we should get the jump on the shopping season. Definitely before Black Friday.

The 40 or the 100?

Actually, I had February 29th circled on my calendar.

Nerlem Noel vs Shabazz Muhammad

Which would be better for the Wizards?

Hard to say. Both have excellent names.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Uhhh, well, see, errrr ummm …

They look TERRIBLE. Posted this in the General Discussion Preseason Games Thread:

8-25 FG shooting from Byron Mullens. :(
8-20 FG from Gerald Henderson
3-17 FG from Kemba Walker
0-5 FG from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

19-67 FG comes out to .284 or 28.4% shooting. :o :o :o

How can any team be that bad? The Bobcats have NOTHING when it comes to interior scoring.

Their stats look abominable from all preseason. Shot .400 as a team and only scored 89 points. MKG is looking BAD on offense.

closg00, I would love to back off of what I said because the Bobcats look terrible. I will stick with what I said. They have good defensive players and they cannot be as bad as their preseason. Can they?

(Notes: 1. Charlotte was up by 20 against Milwaukee last night through almost three full quarters, before losing by ten. 2. Tonight they trailed Dallas 82-85 with 3:46 remaining, before losing by 16.)
Bye bye Beal.

Who gives a crap about what people write about him? He has skills to win. That's far more important for a team like the wizards who are at the bottom of the NBA chart.
