Faried talking smack about Howard;

By the third, his energy was so irritating that LA center Dwight Howard put hands to Faried's face on a shot attempt, throwing Faried to the ground and earning Howard an ejection with 5:02 left in the third.

"He was just mad, I was getting in his head," Faried said of Howard's frustration. "He couldn't get the rebounds he wanted because I kept getting everyone. He was powerless on the boards."

sidenote - my hoopin' daughter still likes to make fun of AJ
based on the game he got ejected from last year when you could
hear him yellin at the ref, that's a bad ass cal, over and over again
in that whiny voice.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I for one thought it was funny (not hilarious though) that he said "bad ass call" which can be misinterpreted as "badass call". One means a really bad call (albeit awkwardly phrased) and the latter means a totally awesome call (can be said with sarcastic overtones).

Night of upsets. Heat went down to the pistons, knicks down to sac-town, clips down to utah, and of course us the hometown losers winning anything over anyone.

Grevis with another double-double, 14 assists 20+ points. We had Grevis in for a pre-draft workout, me also worked-out Leonard pre-draft.

“Fifteen years,” the Lakers forward said, recapping his career. “My only thing is let me know why. I don’t think you go from starting and 30-something minutes to not in the rotation whatsoever. And not explaining to me what exactly happened, that’s the toughest thing. There’s nothing you can do but be positive and support your teammates. The only reason I came here was they said I was going to play and to win a championship.”

“There’s a competitor in me that wants to compete and I know I can help the team,” Jamison said. “Whenever I get answers, I guess I’ll feel more better about the situation but nothing has been told to me why nothing has happened or that I did anything wrong.

“DNPs for the first time in my career. I have not had a conversation with [D’Antoni] about anything about the situation.”

Jamison and a 2nd for Booker works on a couple of levels.

Antawn could hang in there and possibly get a ring with the Lakers, but that is doubtful. What is very likely is Jamison will be unhappy with his role. They didn't start winning until they overhauled the lineup to get better defensively. D'Antoni moved Jamison out of the rotation and, voila, their defense improved. He's unhappy but the Lakers are "better" at .500 with him on the bench. Seems like Antawn is begging for a trade. Charlotte would be a better stop, but I think ending his career with the Wizards or auditioning for other teams for 25 games would not be a bad idea for Jamison or the Wizards.

The deal would help Booker's career and the Lakers a lot IMO. Their 2nd rounder might stick, but I think freeing cap space and acquiring trade pieces is the way the Wizards should move forward. Booker can't play many minutes for the Wizards and his foot is a concern. Instead of resigning him, moving Booker to a winning situation and getting a pick works to improve the Wizards.
Bye bye Beal.

Wait. Are we giving up a pick or getting one?

I don't understand this notion that moving Booker would help Booker's career. Booker has gotten plenty of minutes in Washington and has played well when healthy. If Booker could play today, he would take all of Singleton's and Vesely's minutes, and some of Seraphin's as well. He would get 20+ minutes a game, which is more than LA would give him.

I just don't see any rationalization for trading Booker for Jamison. Booker may not be a top tier prospect at this point, but he has a future in this league as a role player while Jamison does not. What do we gain by dumping Booker and adding Jamison?

I would even waive Jamison for him to catch on with a playoff team. Right, nate. He has no future with the Wizards other than future coach or deep bench guy who is more coach than player--and Antawn doesn't want that most likely.

With the 2nd round pick I want Doug McDermott if he's there. Nate Woltjers is worth a look. Micheal Snaer could have less shooting woes than Beal IMO. There are PLENTY guys i round two I like.

I would also trade Booker straight up for Austin Daye, but I think Detroit is starting to see the light of day (pun intended).
Bye bye Beal.

Did you see the grin on Jamison's face when he was traded to the Cavaliers? Jamison probably wouldn't even report to the Wizards.

"Vucevic scored a career-high 20 points and grabbed 29 rebounds -- an Orlando Magic franchise record -- in Sunday's 112-110 loss to the Miami Heat." Wow. I hate that last year's rookies like Faried, Leonard, and Vucevic keep reminding us how much we screwed up by drafting Veseley and Singelton.
