Looks like Detroit is finally figuring things out.

I love the Grizzlies. I'm pulling for them to win the West and eventually the title. I hope Rudy Gay doesn't become a chucker and Hollins plays inside out. I think they need another shooter from 3 point range.

Always thought Dray played his best ball as a Wiz when he was forced to play C full-time the year Haywood was out after wrist surgery. Not that Dray was ever efficient, but he seemed to be more focused and under control in that role. He was playing closer to the basket and the ball was rarely in his hands on offense - pretty much the same role he's playing in NJ I would presume.

Spurs are hanging with the Heat late in the 3rd, which is crazy considering the following:

Pop sent Duncan, Parker, Manu, and Danny Green home early on their east coast trip. And Stephen Jackson and Kawai Leonard were already out. So, the Spurs are playing with a squad, on paper, that would appear to have trouble with a dleague squad.

This will make Stern's action against the stirs interesting. It is a little hard to come down too hard on them for not being competitive when they lead after the end of 3 quarters.

Man would it be great to see the Spurs win this game.

If Stern actually punishes them he's an even bigger idiot than I figured.

I'm sure Stern would have been just as angry if the Spurs had rested all their big guns last night against lottery-bound Orlando to make sure they were ready today's nationally televised game against heavyweight Miami, right?

The Emperor expects that fans want to see stars, not good basketball.

That was a very good game last night, Stern is an idiot. And remember, the Spurs bench is full of guys who have played big roles in international basketball. They aren't scrubs

I wonder how long until Stern dictates starting lineups.

Stern had to say/do something. Fans pay a lot of money to see the stars play. The NBA is easily the most star-driven major sport, and fans pay a large chunk of these guys outrageous salaries. Fans have a right to expect teams to play their best players, as long as they are healthy.

Plus, it's the first month of the season and S.A. was not playing back-to-back games. The "tired" argument doesn't wash with me. For Stern and the NBA, this is not about the Spurs and Pop but about the NBA brand and the league's relationship with its fans.

I'm going to the Heat-Wizards game next Tuesday....and you can bet that I want to see Lebron play. I'd be even more adamant about wanting to see Lebron, Bosh, Wade, etc., if I was paying the crazy money it takes to take my kids to see Lebron and Co.
