Wow, I envy the Rockets right now. 45 pts for Harden? That's ridiculous!

Harden and Lin make for an interesting frontcourt. Both do a fair amount of everything; Harden does it all with frightening efficiency. Houston is going to be a fun team to watch this year.

Wow, we are seeing a Harden we never saw while playing for OKC, I was completely wrong about him. Lin/Harden is getting it done. Marcus Morris is fine also.

Both are winners, too.

At the same time they won CA HS championships. Harden's team won two with 31-2 and 33-1 records. Lin won one as a member of a 32-1 team.

96-4 and now they're teammates. :o
Bye bye Beal.

More than ever I will trust advanced stats. They pointed to him being a top-5 player last season. I thought it was due to Harden playing with Durant and Westbrook. Wrong.

Harden IS way better than Westbrook. Presti and all of us had no idea how good Harden is. 42 points and Lin is flirting with a triple double.

Jeremy Lin is going to shut as many people up as James Harden will.

Harden has already shown that he doesn't have to get 30-40 points to be a big contributor. If the Rockets can get a reliable front court scoring option (and Morris could be it eventually), Harden can have 15-20 point nights and still win games. If his shot's not dropping, he and Lin will still command attention and make room. Wonder how Millsap would look in Houston?

Orlando won.

Wizards are ahead of Boston, who is 0-2. Washington 0-1 will play the Celtics tomorrow.

I saw that the Cavs had won and thought of you. Looking around at who has played so-far, I fear we will be very bad until Wall gets back. Detroit may be worse.

Minny looked decent tonight, I hate that Celtics lost tonight, they'll be tripling the intensity for tomorrow night.

What I love about both of those guys is that they contribute in more ways than just shooting. They can board, pass, snatch a momentum-turning steal... they just find a way to impact the game.

I hope our frontcourt looks that good in a year or two.

Harden's box score may look pretty spectacular at first glance, but what it doesn't tell you is that he's only just now starting his fourth season in this league, which means he is providing Houston with dangerously low levels of Veteran Leadership. It's going to take Morey years to recover from his decision to take a chance on an amazingly talented younger player, knowing full well he could have spent all his assets on middling older role players. I sure wouldn't want to be a Rockets fan right about now!

Blake Griffin vs. Dwight Howard -- a battle to decide who spends the least amount of time working on their free throws.

Love watching the Lakers struggle. Would feel bad for AJ and Nash if things don't pick up (ultimately, I'm sure they will), but Howard deserves his comeuppance.

Harden's beard provides all the veteran leadership needed.

Honestly, if the Lakers struggle all year and underwhelm, Dwight will just bolt again.

Ouch Faried and McGee both posted pretty unimpressive number and lost to Orlando

Harden just ripping it up. He follows up a 37 pt 6 rebound 12 assist game with a 45 pt 7 rebound game :o

Amusingly enough, Jeff Van Gundy was rumored to be the second choice behind Mike Brown. Now even if they asked him, doubt he'd coach Dwight Howard for obvious reasons. :)

I thought i read somewhere that the Rockets will be able to give out a near max level contract next season.

Iguodala is bombing with Denver as badly as Nash is with the Lakers.

I really thought Denver would be improved but it's the other way around. Like the Nuggets Javale seems to be regressing. McGee comes off the bench behind Koufus and last night (going by the stats) got killed by Davis. Faried hasn't looked good either and it makes me wonder what George Karl is trying to emphasize with both players.
Bye bye Beal.

McGee I have no confidence in, his inconsistency is what drove us all nuts.

Faried I'm not worried about at all, if he focuses purely on rebounding he'll be fine. He's a future all star IMO.

Kemba Walker carried his team to victory last night, will the same ever be said about Jan Vesely?

Wouldn't surprise me at all.

That bench is horrifyingly bad. I'm sure the starters will get in rhythm, but I don't think they can win with that bench.
