Cousins is a good player but dude is a head case and would frustrate the hell out of us. I'd trade for him, but wouldn't sell the farm.

Cousins has touch like Seraphin, better even. But he brings good defense and rebounding, and we all know how good Seraphin is at those parts of the game....

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Superstars are too hard to acquire these days for MIN to consider swapping Kevin Love like this. MIN can't trade a bird in the hand for one in the bush. I love finances more than just about anyone, but the chance that Kahn turns the Wiz pick into something close to Love is pretty small. Also, I don't think MIN is rebuilding. They probably should be, but they won't.

BTW, I liked the Hawes addition - he'd fit great with Adelman. I don't know if Nene has the value to get Even turner plus Hawes and straight up though.

Wall, Vesely, and Seraphin for Kyle Lowry and Valanciunus

Wiz should target Jimmer Fredette as a good buy low candidate. The guy can play. He's actually pretty dang quick. Too bad Singleton has totally crapped the bed. Earlier this year I bet their values were seemingly comperable--not any more.

This would be very tempting if we could count on Lowry to play 75+ games a season. Unfortunately, we can't.

And Wall is some pillar of durability?

That's irrelevant. Wall has trade value because of his high upside, not his durability. If I'm trading away all that upside, the least I can expect is durability.

It's not irrelevant because it goes to the sober value of what it actually is that we're trading. Also, Lowry's not ALL that brittle. He's missed more time than I'd like, it's not terrible.

And when he's on the floor, he's much better than Wall. And that says nothing of Valanciunus, who might have as much upside as anyone in the deal.

If I were them, I wouldn't. But I also think there's a good chance Wall is overvalued on the NBA trade market -- at least for the time being. He does enough that absolutely dazzles to make people think "upside," and he's young enough that their hubris makes them think they can coach his bad habits out of him and that he can be a superstar. It would take some selling, for sure.

Another Wall trade I'd make:

Wall + Okafor to Atlanta for Horford, Korver, and Teague.

Interesting. What would happen to Nene? He and Horford both seem to be best at PF.

They're both interchangeable "bigs" who can play on the high and low block.. I think they'd be a very effective tandem.

I think they would be effective because they are completely different.

Horford is not a low post player at all. He can't play with his back to the basket unless he has a much smaller player on him. When he faces up he is scared to drive almost as much as Seraphin.

Horford is a jump shooter and a beast in transition. He can also score moving without the ball or on offensive rebounds. When he does finally get near the rim he finishes well.

But there is a reason he gets to the ft line less than Beal. Horford averages 37 minutes a game and only 2.7 ft attempts per game.

^Don't know about that, especially if there's as much friction between the organization and Love as has been reported. They get a low post player who can play now and a potential top 5 pick.

I might get bashed for this...but what about Al Harrington as a Stretch 4...I think he's recovering from a staph infection or something...

Ariza+Booker for Harrington (If healthy)

I mean his last two years are not guaranteed...so...maybe?

I would pass on Harrington. Only reason to trade for him would be to clear cap.
