When you think about it though, MLK and Ted really have quite a bit in common.

MLK wrote the "Letter from Birmingham Jail." Ted made the "Phone Call to the Caps Fan He Beat Up."

MLK "Had a Dream" of equal rights and racial harmony. Ted had a dream of bringing the Olympics to DC.

MLK's words and inspiration reached into every American home. Ted's AOL CD-ROMs were mailed to every American home.

MLK fought for the right to vote and for equal access to public accommodations. Ted recognized the right of fans to have a place to put their beer while using public accommodations.

MLK was assassinated for sticking with his beliefs. Ted was ridiculed for sticking with Ernie Grunfeld.

I'm going to advocate that "TedLK Day" be established as a national holiday.

Wow, I just assumed somebody photoshopped that to be funny. Ted... what...? Seriously bro?

I wonder if he comes out later with a similar one picturing himself with Jesus - as a father/son picture.

Prettty sure that's the one a FB commenter had in mind when he asked "I wonder what they'll do for Easter?"

I won't say he's James Earl Ray, but EG has killed the dreams of many a Wizards fan.

Monumental has already issued their mea culpa, courtesy of the Bog:

hroughout Black History Month we ran an “Inspire” campaign. We asked a variety of Wizards, Capitals and Mystics players and staff to share who inspired them. We asked them for a favorite quotation and then created a composite image that was half the player/staff member and half the person they admired. We released one composite image a day throughout February in an attempt to honor those whom our staff had identified as heroes. We intended this as a way to celebrate Black History Month and focus on the many important contributions by African-Americans to American history and culture. On a personal level, it was a way to share thoughts on African-American historical figures whom we admire. We may have missed the mark, and we apologize to those who were offended by the way this was presented.

For context, here's Rasual's entry:

Afterall, Monumental was named after their mistakes.

That would be Ted's ego.

Remember his bucket list on his website?

His bucket list was more like a shopping list. Fukkin slave to his possessions

Finding someone who is genuinely inspired by "try to lead a double bottom-line life" may be the closest we ever come to contact with alien lifeforms in my lifetime.

Ted and the "double bottom line life" quote would work well juxtaposed with Freddie Mercury: "Fat bottom girls, they make the rockin' world go round."

Imagine Spiro Agnew, Dr. Seuss, Jesse Jackson and Don King all stuck in the same elevator.

Who says what? among Agnew, Dr Seuss, Jesse Jackson, and Don King? Rhymes R Us Crew is what I'd call them.

(Did Spiro Agnew get high or did he need meds?)
Bye bye Beal.

If Ted has time to make such PR blunder, he'd better get busy rectifying what's wrong with the team, so that they will start winning. Randy may not be the source of all Wiz problems but Ted needs to make a move pretty soon. :banghead:
