BTW, it's Ted's birthday today. Same as Elvis and David Bowie.

According to Kelly Dwyer, who writes for Yahoo! -- it's a Leonsis creation.

It's almost as ridiculous as the Apple ad campaign comparing Steve Jobs to Ghandi and MLK

Good lord, what kind of people does Leonsis have around him to green light something like this?

Absolutely bizarre.

This has me more worried about Ted's judgment -- and the Wizards' future -- than EG's continued employment.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Saw that picture on Facebook yesterday. Nearly spit my drink out.

The comments section was pure gold though.

Not only is "doing well by doing good" an anodyne, almost pointless piece of puffery, it's also universally used by people like Ted; i.e. it's not even original. It's not even an idea at all. It's not even a sentiment. It's just... nothing.

Honestly, I can't believe he came up with, and I have a hard time believing he even saw it before it was posted. What a colossal embarrassment. As one of the FB comments said: "what will they come up with for Easter, I wonder?" :)
Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....

I have a dream ... That one day black people will eat gyros at all Caps games...
Greek American kids from NYC will know of the struggles that Marty and I experienced in Selma, Alabama...
Groupon and AOL will make me rich .... That's actually a memory more than a dream ....
GO HOYAS!!!!

:D

I'm not mad at Ted. I smiled and laughed when I first saw it and that's as far as I want to think about it. That billionaire has the ability to change lives and for all we know he is doing just that behind the scenes.

It's GOOD to have HIGH SELF ESTEEM

I've been called delusional, myself. :D

(Pass me some, Ted)
Bye bye Beal.
