New Beal comparison: Reggie Miller.

He's got that clutch gene.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Fixed for accuracy. Honestly, that's going to happen until Durant leaves the Thunder or the Wizards become a legitimate draw themselves in DC. Was at the game as well and it didnt bother me one bit, especially because you know that 98% of the people cheering for the Thunder couldn't tell you the capital of OKC, and because the Wizards have been so atrocious for so long that people here just need something decent to cheer for, and a hometown kid made good is as good a thing to root for as any.

f course I'd never root against my squad unless the tank train was leaving the station.

So, I sold my seats for both the Miama and OKC games and the Wiz won both games. I'm starting to think I'm the Wizards curse. Maybe I need to sell the rest of my games!

Very good game from Beal and Vesely. Let's hope that they continue to gain confidence. Martell also had a nice game. I hope that he continues to start as he has earned it. Nice win.

Lot of people were ringing the BUST bell earlier in the season.

I need a "Beal with it!" T-shirt asap.

To end this game with further encouragement, here's what Scott Brooks said after the game.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/beal-score ... --nba.html

Four years ago, the Thunder started 3-29, even worse than Randy Wittman's Wizards to open this season. ''I know how Randy feels,'' Brooks said. ''It's not easy, because you don't see a lot of sunshine. But, they have good players that work hard, and eventually it turns around. . Kevin Durant helps, also.'' . The Wizards' 30 first-quarter points matched a season high for the opening period.

Wittman should enjoy the second half of the season a lot more than the first with healthy players.
Bye bye Beal.

Beal has a long way to go to be either a star or superstar but this is a great sign for his development.

I dunno if he *demanded* it. I was watching the Thunder feed, and they zoomed in on Beal during the time out. He sat on the bench while everyone else left, covered his face with his towel, and looked visibly shaken. He was the last to walk on the court after the time out.

Of course, once he got the ball, he looked comfortable, made the right decision, and drained the shot. :D He looked a little nervous in the huddle, but that's okay - he's 19.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

We shouldn't rest on this, time to go to Beal more, also there are a few guys to look at in FA like Machado and Jorts.

I'm with Scott Brooks here . . . all we need to do is add a Kevin Durant level talent to this team and we are contenders . . . and I'm not talking about DeMarcus Cousins.

The last time Ernie emerged from his cave, it was when we beat the Heat, I expect to see him and Ted in-front of the cameras soon pumping-up John's return which is right around the corner.
Hee hee, I am lurking on Stub Hub and will be buying cheapie tix targeted around the time that John is expected back.

I initially reacted to this with an and1 but you know what, I don't blame folks
for liking OKC (other than SonicGate) with the PGC product Durant showing
how it's done. It's not like Lakers/Celtics/Nix/Heat fans in any way.

Sorry I wasn't there. At least I was able to sell my tickets for a fair price.

My daughter had a game or I would have gone. Did just manage to sell my seats
but didn't get the kind of premium I would have expected for OKC. Still made
a slight amount over cost. Someone got a good deal.

If they ever get good, hopefully tickets won't be such a chore to unload.

Beal!

Ves, where ya been?

Nice game from Martell and Ok

that looked more like the team that I predicted they could be with
my ridiculously optimistic win projection. Oh well, you're never as
good as you look when you're winning or as bad when you're losing.

Really happy for Beal, good to see his game coming along. A moment like last night can do a young player a world of good. Who would have figured last nights game was way more fun to watch than the BCS championship game?!? :D

Strange that he did it against OKC, the team that was reportedly willing to trade Harden for him.

not a big college football fan, even less of a Tide/Irish fan so it wasn't
a hard decision for me on what to watch when I got home.
