Seraphin and Wittman should strike a deal - Kevin is awarded 2 shot attempts for every rebound he grabs.

I'm pleased with the play I suppose. Once Ariza came in it seemed like the offense just flat out stopped. Dare I say it...Rudy Gay may have helped in this game....Yikes.....

Beal is more of a Catch shoot player, and the kings did a good job guarding him.

I'm aware, but it seemed like we stopped running plays for him. They're not going to collapse on him unless we pass to him. It seemed like we simply just went away from trying to get him the ball. Its a tough loss to swallow...but its "encouraging"....ugh. I thought we'd have a shot of winning 2 games on this trip but now...eh. Maybe sneak one in Utah.

Where were Nene's touches at the end? Does Seraphin realize he doesn't have to shoot it every time?

There's been at least one game this year where I had as many rebounds as Seraphin, in far fewer minutes.

I'd like to add Seraphin to my "trade now" list. I don't get how so many players on this team in the last 5 yrs could have such a lack of self awareness....

Nah. It's tough to score in a post-up with time winding down. The other team can double team and there may not be enough time to rotate for the open look.

You are right, but we had 10 secs on the clock tho. I'm just mad at the 3 straight possessions that Seraphin bricked shots; totally killed the momentum...and John choking at the FT line.

Seraphin killed the game with his bricks and poor defense. Regardless Wall's passing was amazing and Beal
Is getting better and better. This loss hurts but it was an entertaining game

Why did Seraphin p,ay more than Okafor? Wittman has no excuse for playing KS 29 minutes....just stupid.

My post on another a tiny forum consisting of maybe 30 members
Wizards lost this game because of bitch ass Kevin Seraphin. He does NOT need to be taking 18 shots a game. He's decent on offense and low post, though his only move is a turn around hook shot, but god damn is awful on defense. Cousin abused this bitch ass. At least with Okafor and Nene you see a resemblance of defense and attempts to rebound or block. I swear all this Seraphin idiot does is post up on offense, back down dribble, back down dribble, then step left and rotate, right hand hook shot! All he can do. I dunno what he's trying to prove. Maybe some trade value, cause god forbid I'd trade his ass, though no team would accept him because the second his name was mentioned they wouldn't believe he's a real player cause nobody has heard of him. God damn.

Sucks we got the loss. Those Wall free throws, not good, but forgivable considering its only his 3rd real game this year.

Man oh man, Wall and Beal are gonna be such a beast of a back court. I have not been this excited to be a Wizard follower since we had prime Arenas.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

If Ariza wasn't 0-6 for...I think that would have helped too.

Thing is - he's such a terrible passer, that it's probably best that he does shoot. Again, the real problem was the decisions to pass him the ball when he wasn't in position to shoot in rhythm. The first pass to him (which was from Nene) was good, because Seraphin was rolling towards the basket and got an easy layup. But the next 3 possessions, a guard just threw him the ball - forcing him to make a play, because you know he can't pass. He was put in a position - 3 straight times - to fail. And a coach simply can't let that happen down the stretch of a tight game, imo.

Yep. Just amazing chemistry. 3 games in, and it looks like they've been playing together for years.

The best backcourt we've had since Gilbert and Hughes in 05. Even then, i always thought Arenas and Hughes' games overlapped each other too much. Both ball dominant guards who were shoot first pass second.

But Wall and Beal couldn't be more perfect for each other. The explosive pass first point guard who can get to the rim at will, and the prototypical shooting guard who can burn you from outside.

And the best thing is that isnt his whole game. He has a nose on offense for making the good pass, and he is a great finisher around the basket.

He's so smooth and in control for such a young dude.

I can't help but gush over this kid. So happy hes a Wiz.

Reasons why we didnt blow the kings out
1. Kevin s....**** play...he should never be taking the most shots on the team
2. Ariza....I can slightly over look this because he's just coming back but 0 points with 4 t/o not good....
3. Coach and Webster....10 points 9 reb in 27mins...he should be averaging same mintues as beal...Also should have the 3rd most attempts behind beal and wall...y? He one of our best scorers and can get to the line....no starter should be 3/5...especially with his talent set...he needs another 10 attemps (the 10 seraphin wasted)
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

Too much negativity here. Think of it this way. We won 3, lost 1. That's a .75 record. If we can keep that up we'll make the playoffs.

Yes, I agree. They lost to a team with a better record. The Kings are not far behind the Lakers in the standings. The Wizards were a 4.5 point underdog and they lost by 1. The Wizards beat the spread and almost won.

Sacramento had won their previous game 124-118. They were a good bet to score 105 or 106 points, but the Wizards dictated tempo and held the Kings to 95 point.

Cousins getting 16 rebounds and 21 points this game comes after a game where he had 26 points and 14 rebounds.

In January (9 games) Cousins is averaging roughly 22/14/4 assists on 50% FG and 80% FT. Washington gave him a couple more rebounds than average but this was just an AVERAGE GAME FOR COUSINS.

DeMarcus Cousins is a great player. I said this before the draft. I thought he was the better player on Wall's Kentucky team. That is not a knock on Wall or Bledsoe, who are both young talents. Wall still is young and will improve. DeMarcus is settling in on greatness sooner but that doesn't mean Wall will not.

Instead of seeing this as a negative I see this as a POSITIVE. The Wizards could have won and they played pretty well. Move on to the next game.
Bye bye Beal.

Naw, this totally understandable fan-angst after losing a very winnable game. With so-many close losses/collapses, you do have to look at The coaches 4th quarter/end-of-game management, despite the missed FTs.

Thank you.

Also, I don't get all the hate on Seraphin. Seraphin was great in the first half while playing alongside 3 players who were no threat whatsoever to score: Vesely, Ariza and Temple.

I'll have to rewatch the game to be sure, but I thought all 3 shots that Seraphin missed down the stretch were reasonably good shots. The problem wasn't him shooting, it was that the offense got the ball to him rather than Nene. Nene is the guy we want making decisions. Seraphin should be there just as a kick-out option.

If anybody was at fault, it was Wittman for leaving Okafor on the bench so long. Okafor played great D on Cousins all night.
