here is an article I saw posted on the main forum with ESPN projected top 10pgs next year by warp and Wall is
4th with them saying: 4. John Wall, Washington Wizards
Projected 2014-15 WARP: 13.8 | Win%: 65 percent

Wall's 2013-14 season wasn't much different in terms of value from the season before; he was just healthier, playing in all 82 games and logging nearly 3,000 minutes. His winning percentage actually fell from .597 to .594, but all that extra time on the court was worth a five-WARP leap to 11.1, good for 17th in the NBA. Wall will be just 24 at the end of this season, and the projection you see referenced above means this system sees him taking a leap forward. If that happens, the improvement will come from three areas: a better jump shot, a decrease in turnovers and a more focused effort on the defensive end.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also remember seeing someone on the main board a couple of weeks ago do a ranking with some different kind of analytics that everyone felt were legit and again Wall was near the top of the NBA. I just think we underrate him so much on here. Everyone acts like he's not max, he's just average, or alot of guys like Lowry or whoever, are just as good if not better and I think thats a joke. There are guys saying Korver was a better player last year and crazy stuff. It makes no sense how bad we underrate him. Im a huge Beal fan but there are alot of Wiz fans who think because of the playoff run that Beal is better or if we had to trade someone for Love then it should be Wall and not Beal.

Its a joke the criticism he gets while being ranked super high in a ton of things like this. Am I the only one who thinks he's the real deal? And all this without any kind of stretch big which basically nearly made guys like Dragic who have just been average until playing in a free flowing offense with 2 stretch bigs at all times who space the floor. Wall will have his best season yet this year and will end all doubts and this is still with no stretch big which would be the #1 thing to play to his strengths

A lot of people here are debbie downers which is why this subsection isn't active like other boards. Wizards got playoffs in 6 years and you got people being negative all the time. They just got 10 games tv and people still find a way to complain about some small thing.

I made a thread last year stating how we are the worst fans and how this board only criticize it's players instead of trying to uplift.

Wow, so if were not total fan boys, were debbie downers and some of the worst fans? Some of you really need to grow up!

If we would all just give up critical thinking, we wouldn't be so critical. The players would play better if we supported them here on this board. They would psychically know, and we would feel better about ourselves and each other. and spread the message throughout the land in everything that we do, thus growing Wizards fandom into an unnatural virus reproducing geometrically until it dwarfs the team itself and becomes, quite apart from Wizards success, the reason for our existence.

Whew! Let's turn this board into a 12 Step program.

To the topic of John Wall, regardless of the hackneyed prediction of him moving up the next level, I'm ready to see him move to the next level. A consolidation of toughness tempered by experience, a little more control, and a few more reliable targets (to overcome Ariza's loss). Could happen this year or next.

PS: Quit bragging. I made a thread once about urinal cakes.

If we all "uplift" then maybe we can get Wall to stop bricking so many jumpers and stop turning it over so much.

John voiced his displeasure at #31 on twitter...

Still, the Wiz represented pretty well.

The results of that list are weird. Way weird.

Derrick Rose has played like 5 games in 2 years and he somehow gets ranked ahead of Wall. Come on...

They have JR Smith in the top 100. That might invalidate the entire list all by itself.

So, I was bored and decided to look at gamelogs and compile some of the most efficient games from John and compare them to point gods, in terms of total wins and losses.

Wizards record win John shoots greater than 50%: 16 - 9

Wizards record when John generates 10 or more assists: 19-12

Wizards record when John does both: 7-4

Clippers record when CP3 shoots greater than 50%: 27-4

Clippers record when CP3 generates 10 or more assists: 27-12

Clippers record when CP3 does both: 15-2

I like the way you contribute to the board, Sluggerface.

What did you conclude?

I'd surmise ... Paul is better than Wall. The Clippers overall are better than the Wizards ... but maybe I'm jumping to conclusions lol.

I couldn't really come to any conclusions, other than the fact that CP3 should definitely be shooting more in the Clippers offense.

Wizards had the highest winning percentage when Wall shot 50%+, regardless of whether or not he earned a double-double.
