So I posted my wife's caricaturist impression of the Wizards' starting 5 in a game thread. Since the team got spanked in that game, I'll be avoiding game threads with this stuff from now on.

Here's the starting team:

And here's the management team, by request (new 5/12/14):

 haven't heard that one before. Most accurate I've heard is Bridget Fonda from Jackie Brown.

So here is another submission from my artist friend Matt Miller from Columbus, Ohio.

I gave him a copy of the House of Guards image and he ran with it as an artist will do. What he came up with was this..

John Wall if he was an android DJ

bump for barelyawake's GF and her jewelry art

barelyawake wrote:So, I’ve never done this, so you know I’m friggin proud of this line. My girlfriend is a noted sculptor who has transitioned into jewelry making. And she’s one of the top artists currently at the Torpedo Factory. Her name is Natalie Abrams. We are having a launch of her new line on October 28th at 3pm. Just a quick show and some alcohol. Families and everyone are welcome. Actually, if you can’t attend, please swing by whenever you can and buy Xmas gifts. Only unique gifts are remembered and art is nothing but unique. You get into heaven automatically if you support local artists. Honestly, we’d love to have you and show you our god damn, futuristic cool jewelry. Very punk. Very elegant. Thanks in advance. Check out abramswearable.com and @abramswearable on social media. See you there.

Wow, never even knew this thread existed! I wanted to make BA's GF's event, but couldn't. Will def try to support if there's another one.

I'm not the biggest art fan, but trying to expand my horizons. I have a few pieces at home that I bought just because I liked how they looked, but would be nice to start to delve into the deeper layers so I can understand what I'm looking at. Might try to hit this event one weekend in January:

If anyone else is interested, I'm open to syncing up.

I was thinking the same thing. It's way cool.

I'll have some pen and ink stuff in the pancakesandbooze show in April at the Howard Theater. And have some stuff up at a hole-in-the-wall pub on Georgia Ave, https://uniondrinkery.com/, if you want to buy a print. And if anyone wants to check out my various pub sketches and scribbles and story art feel free to catch me on instagram -- It's all very loose and raw on there, sketches and taking risks to teach myself (all self-taught) but you get a sense of one of the many things I do when I'm not daydreaming about basketball.
