I would have preferred a 3rd pg to develop behind Miller but this organization is hell bent on leadership and veterans in the lockerroom.

He won't be in the rotation, but he will play in plenty of games at end of half/game defensive situations. Good signing, but I would still like a more offensive PG on the roster for old man Miller injury insurance.

I like Temple, solid plays within himself, defends well and with effort, good size for a pg, versatile. Knows his role, and seems good character and attitude, furthers the continuity.

Not sure what there is to complain about here. Solid 3rd pg and end of roster player.

Although I would still love to see them sign Mo Williams.

Side note, not getting all the Khem Birch obsession. Not really seeing it. Too small to play center, too unskilled to play PF. Strictly Dleague material. Not bad for a training camp invite, but I don't see him making team. I mean it's not like he's the next James Singleton.

How about Kendall Marshall? Oh wait, never mind.

I wish I would have saw more of Temple last year, It seemed down the stretch they stopped playing him whatsoever. He is a great defender, and even off his position defender, Look what he did to LeBron last season when the Wizards destroyed the Heat. I remember a few steals that made me laugh anways, Temple has built chemistry with this team and is not a bad 3rd option, I'm sure he knows how to run the second unit and I'm sure Andre Miller taught him a few things last season, Instead of playing him at the point guard position though they should switch him to SG, and sign a 3rd PG.

This is funny. It happened to me so many times last season, I'd be happy thinking Porter was in, only to realize no it's just Temple.

Fine with Temple being our 3rd pg.. but if Ernie had went and gotten Aaron Brooks (who Chicago is currently looking at for the vet min) I may have had to send him a handwritten Thank You card

I'd view Temple as insurance solely in case Glen Rice Jr. flops or revisits past demons. My worst fear is Temple being the default backup 2 since he's a "vet" while Glen Rice Jr. continues to rot on the bench next season.

I like Garrett. I like an effort player for the 15th man. He's like the Little Engine That Could, Every Tenth Or Twelfth Game, Maybe. One plus is nothing about him really sets you up for too much disappointment. I like Garrett.

Lakers waived Kendall Marshall. The consensus that I saw among Lakers fans is that he stinks.

I don't understand that. He has tons of high assist games.

He may not be a good defender, but dude can pass.

He was 2nd in the league with 8.8 and did it in only 29 minutes.

http://espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/i ... l-marshall

He even shot .399 from 3 in 3.3 attempts.

How does that stink ? He might not be complete but he is only a 2 year players.

What they said...

10 points per 36 on 49.4% TS.
He shot 53.6% at the rim (Most players shoot well over 60% at the rim)
no athleticism and terrible defense.
52.8 free throw %

How do you know that it was unnecessary? Maybe that's what was needed to get his signature.

Yeah-right, GT was a hot FA. What went-down probably is that his agent said "we want 2-years guaranteed" and Ernie said "when do we sign"

That's not even a stupid argument. There is no evidence one way or the other what GT's options were. In fact we rarely hear at all about what different players' choices that they passed on were. All kinds of stuff goes on that we don't know about.

The article in the link you posted said that Temple was not weighing an offer from Miami.
