Yet another prediction thread

Post#1 » by dobrojim » Wed Oct 29, 2014 7:27 pm

Make 2 predictions -

The Lakers will win < 20 or >= 20

The Heat will win 0-49 or > 50.

I think the Lakers will win at least 20 games, but barely.
I think the Heat will win less than 50 games, but come close.

I'd lean towards putting the Lakers over/under closer to 30, and that's taking into account the Randle injury. I just think Kobe will keep them in a lot of games, and they still have a nice trade chip in Nash's expiring. Depending on who they get, they could still be somewhat respectable.

I have Miami at around .500, mostly because of their lack of depth and what I predict will be a reliance on jumpshots. Still, Wade is likely to have a heroic season IMO, even if it costs him games in future years. So I'm seeing 42-44 wins, but then possibly getting a first round playoff upset due to their experience.

I have the Lakers under 30- and their pick is top 5 protected so maybe they go the other way and rest guys like Kobe in order to keep their draft pick.

I have the Warriors over 52 wins
I have the Rockets over 50 wins
I have the Knicks under 41 wins.

But it doesn't matter what I think, that's why we watch the games.

The Lakers look terrible after two games.

Their next two losses are going to come against the Clippers and the Golden State Warriors.

Lakers will be lucky to win 20.

I don't see Miami winning 50. Maybe 47 or so tops.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.
