As to Randy, poor guy, he gets lambasted when we lose and lambasted even worse when we win! Everybody wants to know why we don't have that terrific coach who took us to 19-6 in in the first 25 -- oh wait a minute, that was Randy: of course if only we'd had Budenholzer we'd be what? 26-0 in the first 25? -- and who beat the Bulls in the playoffs last year (of course, if we'd had Budenholzer, we'd have won that 7 game series 8-0).

But, hey, everybody is entitled to an opinion, and if Hands has a lot of them, well why not? And if he's sure about counterfactual conditionals, well... he's sure about whatever he says at any moment.

Thing is, we don't have such a good roster at this point, do we?

Wall's not a superstar pg by any means -- watch Curry or Westbrook for a few games to set a standard, and then watch Wall again -- although he's quite good. He's by far the best we have. We don't have even one other really productive guard, neither a 1 or a 2. Beal's only 21; he has a future. No one else is worth a mention -- and certainly not someone to hold on to.

Gortat, despite a down period, is a good player. Nene, overall, is nothing special any more. All the other bigs are either barely functional or worse or old.

At the wing, Porter has a future, Pierce has a past, and Butler had a streak. As he sinks below the horizon, and Pierce looks older and older, Porter will need to get more minutes, and we'll see how fast he progresses.

Still, it was great to get a win, wash away the bad taste of losing to Philadelphia.

Team's run by an incompetent FO, guys. Until he goes, we have no future.

sorry pif but i totally disagree. Maybe you should read Fish's article on comparing Witt to Mark Jackson. After 56 games last year, GSW had a record of 34-22. Judging by all your statements, you wouldve made a sarcastic thread about how with a good coach maybe GSW wouldve been 45-11.

The problem is that GSW does have a new coach and guess what, they are 45-11. Its not about another coache beating enough bad teams to be 19-6.Its about another coach winning games that Witt cant. You say Wall isnt a superstar and we dont have another great guard but you cannt say that in black & white. The truth is if we played in a different system or if Witt shuffled the roster better, Wall may could be a superstar. As for another great guard, alot of people compared Beal to a guy like Klay but you see how a great coach got Klay to go to another level. Its foolish for fans to think that Wall & Beal arent being held back by this coach and hsi system.

You arent seeing the best of them. There would be coaches out there right now who would force Wall to live in the paint and attack the rim. Tjhey would implore Beal to drive more. Our coach tells them to shoot the long 2 because thats what the D gives them. He's too dumb to realize they are giving it to him for a reason. You talk about a guy like Curry being a Superstar. He's great and has a great shot. The problem is a guy like Witt basically coaches Wall the same exact way he would coach Curry. He doesnt play at all to Wall's strenghts. He wants him to be a shooter like Curry instead of designing something to cater to Wall's game. It makes no sense and its bad coaching.

Half of the Spurs team sucks. They are always a bunch of cast off scrubs like Danny Green who would ride the bench or be a terrible player on any other team but because he's with Pops, he looks like a very good player. Coaching makes a different. The system makes a different

lol, this is so funny, just the way you explained things......like your a coach in the nba , like you know everything

these forums have allowed regular people to turn into super coach's who think they know how to dissect everything....not sure why more people dont see this

If Kerr came to this team he would have a host of problems.....

A point guard who cant shoot, a shooting guard who is a headache

A bench with absolutely zero to contribute

And that is it right there, that is why this team is where it's at in today's NBA

Curry and Klay alone make Kerr look better

And why cant the reason be that they had one more year to enter the prime, why does it always have to be the coach who makes the biggest difference.

If Wall could shoot the 3 better, and if Beal played iike a man and not a little girl, this team would have 42 wins right now.

But they are not Klay and Curry.
