Pecherov--Isn't he even better than Gooden?

Pecherov could finish with third-highest PPG average at Vegas Summer League
posted by Jake Whitacre on Jul 20, 2015

I liked Pecherov back when Eddie Jordan had him, Andray Blatche, and Javale McGee several seasons ago. (One game sample size ... tee hee).

Honestly, I didn't even watch the game. You guys who saw Stewie put up 21 and 8 in 20 minutes, what did you think?

I think he hits threes, has some athleticism, and certainly fits today's NBA better than when big men were supposed to bang. That guy who played with the Bulls years ago has retired....

No.

Summer league doesn't mean much of anything.

I do think Alan Williams' 20.5/11.8 in 28.5 minutes over 4 games IS significant.
Bye bye Beal.

I watched the game. Pecherov still has a hunchback. Pass.

Has an NBA team signed him to their 15 man roster?

From what I can see on NBA.com, Pecherov only played 1 game.

Stewie is basically the same player, a little bigger in the caboose and a little more fire it seems... so maybe he's incrementally better than his time in DC. He's always been a streaky shooter, not necessarily a good one. I remember watching him go off in person during his 2nd summer league I think. Basically ignored by the D initially until he proved he could hit a few and kept the good feeling going. I still don't think he's rebounds well enough or is attentive enough defensively to really make a difference.

Gooden is a proven & established NBA reserve with a decent level of confidence. I'd give him the edge over Stewie for that reason and Gooden's ability to rebound as well.

Apparently they found a statue of Pecherov on Easter Island. According to an unnamed source named J. Michael, the ancient Mayans used to worship it. Now, it resides in Andray Blatche's China abode.

Nada.

(Williams is a Phoenix/Arizona kid, who speaks fluent Spanish.)

Anthony Randolph, Josh Selby, Marquis Teague, Adam Morrison, Daunte Green, Rice Jr., Lamb etc etc.

Until they prove it in real games.....means little to nothing.

Pech has been invited to the Nuggets camp, I wonder if he has a chance to make the team?

Pecherov is a soon to be 30 year old going off against a collection of green rookies, lower tier d-league players, and former NBA dropouts. No, he isn't even better than Gooden.

This was from 1 game, by the way. Extremely low sample size.

Do we have Gooden's stats from playing at the YMCA in MD? That might be a close comparison in competition level.
