No Anderson, Webster, & Neal. Sessions in there with Wall really hurt, you can't have two bad shooters in together. Toronto expertly managed that last minute of time.

Beal is a shooter the last time I checked. Wants a max deal. Is supposed to take over in games like these. Doesn't dribble well enough to create. They can't afford to lose him, but economically, it makes no sense to give him the max unless he gets better and more durable. A max player doesn't go cold like that at the end.

Only bright side is that the defense played well enough to win. Gortat showed up after a terrible game on Friday. Like Massenberg said, we need a third scorer. I guess Otto isn't ready to be that yet. He's too inconsistent. We have very little from the 4 spot. We definitely miss Anderson because Temple is playing his minutes and he can't shoot it other than 2-3 games a year he gets hot. Neal and Nene out tonight crushed the bench. I guess Nene is taking his typical holiday off.

EDITED

Wall was looking at Lowry, who never crossed half court.

Temple bit on Derozan's penetration and left Joseph wide open.

If Wall makes his FTs the drive wouldn't have mattered.
Bye bye Beal.

Nene needs to call Wall out for lack of focus, subpar play at both ends, and inexcusably bad defense on the last play.

It needs to be a veteran with nothing to lose who tells Wall this one's pretty much on him.

I'm sure he realized it was on him after he clanged the two free throws off the rim. You know they were going to make a shot at the end. Just didn't know it would be a wide open Cory Joseph. It was almost as if they were saying, we have to stop DeRozan and Lowry, but I don't care about the last play. It's the two free throws misses and the lack of offensive production in the fourth quarter by Wall and Beal. I mean the BBITL (best back in the league)

Nene and Ariza did that 2 years ago when they started 2-7.

Okafor did it in the previous spring (February 2013) and Wall responded with that incredible March after returning from injury.

Paul Pierce called him out just before the postseason and he responded.

BUT JOHN IS A VETERAN NOW. He shouldn't need older players getting him focused. Something must be going on with his personal life. It's VERY CLEAR that he hasn't worked on his game this summer and that he's living off talent, athleticism, and his experience. He's WASTING his career by being a terrible leader.

80s, I edited my post after I watched the play on YouTube.

Wall is not the one who left Joseph open. If he had helped in corner then Lowry would have been open at the top of the key.
Bye bye Beal.

His defensive assignment was Lowry. The real issue is why is Porter, who is great on Demar, on **** Scola? Gortat can keep up wit scola for 2.5 second I have to imagine. Wall choked but i'm pretty sure he was told to shadow Lowry for better or worse.

I really don't understand Wittman's 4th quarter rotation.

They need to give dude a physical, to make sure he's not sick or something. Yeah, drug test him, too. He's better than this.
Bye bye Beal.

Give the Raptors credit. They executed well on that last possession. With as many TOs as Toronto had in the game, Wizards shouldn't even have been in that position to lose on the last play. They seem to have lost some of their close game mojo.

Wall is lost. Forget about the free throws. His energy is terrible. He's making almost no effort to stop the dribble penetration. He's doing nothing to impose his will on the offensive end.
