If Beal would have made that open 3, it would have been a tie game. Instead, he missed, Charlotte scores, and the lead climbs to 5 and then 7.

Now the game is over. Deserved to lose. Decent defense but horrific offense.

You can really see how much Morris not in the lineup makes a difference. Hopefully he'll be ready on Monday.

Beal has been awful on his close outs tonight. It is one thing if you are having a bad night shooting, but wth man...

Well, chalk up another loss against a sub .500 opponent.

Beal can trick you into thinking he's a good defender because he looks like he's working hard on defense. Wall can trick you into thinking he's a terrible defender because he does that signature reach-around. In reality, Beal is a pretty big net negative on defense while Wall is one of the better defenders at his position.

Um, not so much. We won yesterday without Morris. We lost tonight, on the road, on a back-to-back (with Charlotte having 2 days rest), on a night when Beal was uncharacteristically missing open looks. I don't think Morris would have made any difference. In fact, if he was here, we would probably have seen less of Oubre and Oubre was pretty good for us tonight.

We haven't played a complete game in weeks. It seems like since the All-Star break but just feels that way.

Tend to agree. Morris had 5pts in this last game before his "sinus" infection and has been dreadful since the AS break. But I really don't want Jason Smith playing in crunch time and it does shorten your bench at PF.

I'm a little surprised Smith isn't a better FT shooter.

Hold your breath everytime a Wizard (besides Bojan) goes to the free throw line.

You would think Jason Smith would be an 85% FT shooter with the way he hits from midrange. He's not. He's a 67% shooter.

Terrible D. Why is Gortat in the game again late? Guys just go through our team when he's in there like a layup line.

I can't fathom this thread being anything but a Gortat hate thread.

That wasn't Gortat's fault. He had to guard Zeller. It was Wall who was standing at the top of the key guarding nobody when Batum made that cut.

Terrible game from Gortat. Why didn't Brooks keep Mahinmi in?
