July is far enough away from the end of the regular season that I don't think what happens now will matter for Otto's free agency. Frankly, I think he can only solidify his ability to demand a max/near max deal by having a good postseason.

I'm not sure this is positive enough for this thread. Care to rephrase? Or do you need to be reported for posting off-topic in a thread... :clown:

I can cheerfully say with big-hearted Wizards fan enthusiasm that doc has the quickest reporting first step in the league right now across all metrics. It was just a one post slump on S-Mac's past, and after a conversation with Brooks, squeen will quickly reintegrate into the team's upbeat posting scheme.

I love how John Wall sets up his drives with his change of speeds nowadays. He dials so smoothly from fast to faster and will slow things up just to get the defense out of position and make them guess wrong. He's not just the fastest with the ball end to end, he's the fastest to accelerate-coast-accelerate. That giddy-up-(pause)-giddy-up in transition is unguardable, he's already going faster then players, then speeds up just as soon as they guess wrong where he's headed.

Why is this so satisfying to me:
Read on Twitter

Not strictly about relishing anothers pain, just the idea that LeBJ will think twice about driving in whenever JSizzle is on his pogo stick and trying to jumpblock every pumpfake or drive.

You don't come into Agent Smith's house and leave with blue balls!

Just watched the encore of the game, the steal by Otto and then the drive and kick by Wall to Otto for the dunk to seal the game was just magnificent and Wall driving past Kyrie to the basket was just gorgeous

Can't say enough good things about Kelly Oubre.

Could have stuck his head in the sand when he lost his spot in the rotation following the Bogdanovic trade, but the second Brooks gave him a chance he came in and asserted himself and hasn't given Brooks a chance to forget about him since.

Our best defender by far and I love his attitude. You rarely see him get down on himself, and even when he misses shots, he just goes back to the other end and makes positive plays.

My favorite play from the Cavs game, when he left his man in the corner to anticipate the pass to the cutter, picked off the pass and gave Washington an easy score when Cleveland was threatening to make it close.

Kelly Oubre is the equalizer between us and Cleveland.

We're the 3rd seed in the east

Who would have ever thought especially considering how this offseason started

No top draft pick or draft pick at all
No starting free agent singing...missed our biggest free agent for half the season

And we're 3rd in the east 2 games out of 1st...

Our biggest trade was for a guy name bogs who played on the worst team in the league....

We're destined for greatness here on out..
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

Sorry but this team would not beat an (healthy),( Arenas , Butler and Jamison) Arenas led team in a 7 game series. JMO

Record wise yes but not saying much. They are not going far in the playoffs.

Doubt this either. Wizards had to go through a young DWade and Lebron back in the day. Who does Wall and Beal have to deal with. IT, Derozan and a old LeBron. East was tought those days too.

Possibly not, but other than the strike season, the is the first season EVER that I underestimated in the preseason their regular season win total. I underestimated the Wall/Beal/Porter leaps forward, I underestimated Oubre's ability to step up as a serious defensive stopper, I underestimated Smith's ability to be a factor, and I (quite legitimately, in my opinion) underestimated EG's ability to try and correct some mistakes mid-season and solidify the bench.

Maybe they get surprised in the 1st round, or maybe they don't get beyond the second round and so not much better than a few years ago. But this is the first time that I can really visualize a Wizards team that perhaps can raise their collective game, come together, and with the right breaks and a little luck, reach the finals. They are definitely an unlikely, dark horse, extremely long shot contender, but that description includes "contender" and that's saying something.

I'm ecstatic that the Wizards play is good enough to get Doc to post more. I'm happy that when my kids give me crap about my bald spot (its full yarmulke at this point), I just say, "Jason Smith." I'm overjoyed that the team's play makes it far less likely that Wall leaves. I'm elated that the core of the team is young. I'm pleased at the uniform designs.
