Globetrotters, although we might revert back to the Washington Generals

On December 19, 2012, Orlando beat the Wizards. Orlando's record was 12-13. Washington's record was 3-20.

Last night, the Wizards crushed the Nets and Orlando fell to Cleveland. Washington is now 14-35. Orlando is 14-36.

Washington now has a better record than Orlando! :o

(Orlando is just 2-23 since that December win over Washington.)
Bye bye Beal.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nene-wizar ... --nba.html

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Over the last month, the Washington Wizards have put together a body of work at home worthy of comparison with any of the best teams in the NBA.

The Wizards capped an impressive three-game homestand Friday night with an 89-74 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. The team with the third-worst record in the NBA has won eight of nine at the Verizon Center - a stretch in which they've taken down Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Chicago, New York and the Los Angeles Clippers.

For the record, it's 14-35, with the Wizards leapfrogging Orlando into 13th place in the Eastern Conference with Friday's win. After playing much of the season without John Wall, Nene and assorted other injured players, Washington's roster is finally close to full health and is starting to excel at the hardest part of the game: defense.

Imagine this. Verizon right now is a place no visiting team wants to play! Washington is one of the league's best defensive teams!
Bye bye Beal.

Marshon for Crawford would give Crawford a chance to become a fan favorite in Brooklyn. Brooks is a better FG shooter than Jordan Crawford and Brooks is slightly less inclined to shoot. He has an extra year on his deal and I think Brooks will improve quite a bit. He was a late bloomer at Seton Hall. Jordan is a better passer and a better FT shooter, but Crawford's mindset is that of an Allen Iverson. He is a high volume shooter who is not happy right now being behind Temple.

Crawford for Brooks is a low-risk, potentially rewarding deal.
Bye bye Beal.

Satisfying to beat the Bucks despite their having the erstwhile coveted Ilyasova. I forget which move was reviled in not landing him. Were we supposed to not have traded for Nene? Was that it?

Anyway: Woo!

Beat the beard! Nice back-to-back wins against the Nuggs and Roxx. The Phone Booth is getting loud again, nice to recover our homecourt advantage a bit. And seriously: 6 straight against teams that are over .500 on the year. We just got to beat the chumps and champeenship!

I know people have been talking about a board get-together...

How about happy hour before the Wizards first playoff game at the end of this regular season. My hand to Ji, we are playoff bound.

If the Wizards make it to the playoffs, I'll be there for the first home game for sure.

Everyone loves a winner. Now if we could only resign Gortat.

Live for today, man. This team lives and dies by Nene, and in a year or two (if we're LUCKY) his feet are going to give out on him altogether.

I mean, yay, wiz win! Playoffs baby!

Woohoo!

Although...I guess that means that the next game thread will need to have more Luv-A-Bulls pics.

It's always good to beat the Knicks in the overrated Garden.

Would have liked to see us close out that 15 point lead though and make it a more comfortable win.

Nene gets my eternal respect for not only blocking the shyt out of LeBron but putting him on a poster in the 4th.

Can't teach that kind of nasty.
