Can Mike James' revenge against former teams reach 2 games in a row?
Bye bye Beal.

I'm not so sure it will be DMAC or CB. I think it will be CB or NY

Starting Lineup - Washington Wizards

James - PG
Caron or NY - SG
DMAC - SF
Jamison - PF
Mr Andray Blatche - C

Yup. DMac is definitely starting one way or another.

Yes we can.

It's going to take James and Dixon to slow down CP.

Blatche vs Chandler is the main event though. Hopefully we see some bruise brothers DSong and Etan pounding on the punk.

The big news will be how is Twans knee. It could get stiff over night. Looks like he bruised it.

Also, we meet up with our old friend AD. I guess he will run against his old friends DS.

Sweet thing about Tapps is he is going 11 deep which is what you want to do during the season. Get everyone some mins and keep your stars under 40. Tapps is doing everything I always wanted to see EFJ do but he never would learn. Tapss for intern coach of the year.

But seriously, what if he gets coach of the year. How do you replace a guy like that ?

Didn't McGuire have some success guarding Paul last year?

The bigger question is?

Will Mike James pass the ball?

Yep, I do believe so. I'm curious to see if he gets matched up against him again.

Let's hope he takes revenge on all his former teams the rest of the year.
That's most of the league. :)

Gotta eat a little crow here re James. For a guy we mostly didn't want
and swallowed hard when we took him knowing it was necessary for
the long run potential of the Critter, he's done a very solid job.
I haven't looked it up but I bet his PER is much better than the negative(!)
number we read about when he arrived in town.

With 2 wins in a row coming in, Nawlins better not over look us.
For one thing we got a guy vying for PotW in El Captawn. He's on a
very solid roll right now. Hope his knee's OK for this one. We desparately
need his O and rebounds. Although maybe Caron will play and let AJ rest
and we'll see how well Songaila can play in more minutes which will also
force DMac to maybe play more at the 4 which I think he could do esp
against West who is in some ways like AJ, not being a physical freak
athlete but just a fundamentally sound player who can make buckets.
It would be interesting to see if DMac could potentially guard CP3 and
West in the same game. Remember DMac did a solid job on CP3 last year.

i actually think this won't be a good game for us. We're still not that great at defending the perimeter though our interior defense isn't as bad as some would assume despite not having monstrous wingspans. I mean, we kept yao down last night which is no simple task seeing as how we don't have a true center. It was just lucky that Alston isn't a very good outside shooter and didn't make us pay. I think between Peja, Mo Pete, West, and the dreaded Rasul butler, we'll give up a lot of points from 3 and possibly lose the game because of it. This is the game where we test the theory of whether the defense has gotten better under tapscott or not.

I don't think it's a theory of whether the defense has improved, pancakes3.

The last seven games the Wizards have given up 88, 109, 97, 80, 93, 95, and 87 points. That's an average of 92.7 points a game. Earlier this season they were giving up around 105 or 106 per game.

Wizards might still get beat pretty badly by New Orleans, because as you mention Rasual and Mo Pete and their other great perimeter shooters do seem like a bad matchup for this team, but I'm convinced the defense has been better lately.
Bye bye Beal.

Against the Hornets, you gotsta watch the alley oopses. Hopefully, the team learned something from the Dallas game - when Kidd & co burned them repeatedly in the 4th quarter. No oopses tonight = win for the Wiz.

I wonder if AD will play? I also hope Mike James doesn't try to take over the game just cuz it's his former team (although pretty much every other game we play will be against one of his former teams).
