Denver @ Washington (2/6)

Post#1 » by WizStorm » Fri Feb 6, 2009 9:23 pm

Who: Denver Nuggest
Where: Verizon Center
When: 8:00 ET
TV: ESPN

From the sound of things, unless Caron is fully recvovered from the flu, the Wizards are going to be down to 8 guys again tonight. Should be fun to watch on national TV ... pure suckage in HD. At the very least, we should get a nice extended look at J-Crit, N1, Mcgee, Opec and D-Mac in prime time.

And here are the obligatory arousing cheerleader pics...

And yet, I still can't decide if they're worse than the Luvabulls.

Thank god it's Friday. Gonna curl up to the wizards with a beer. Yay. What a long week this has been.

I heard a teaser on the Sports Reporters on 980 that we might have to trade the top draft pick if we get it. Can someone explain this to me?

if the Wiz don't get the very top pick (#1), and maybe i'll extend this prediction to one of the top 3 picks, they will trade the pick to clear salary. you can count on it.

Is it just me, or did Butler's "flu-like symptoms" start right after Ray Allen's appointment to the A-S game officially closed the door on Butler's chances on a trip to Phoenix?

I'm sure ESPN just loves having this be their Friday night game.

Critt = a younger, more aggressive Larry Hughes. I can't wait to see him with Gil.

Critt looks lost all the time, is his IQ like 85. We don't play D, we just jack up shots.

For those of you who tried to blame the Nets loss on the vets based off of +/- #'s, heres how it looks after one half:

Songaila +2
Jamison -7
James -10
Dixon -7
McGee -16
Pecherov -19
Young -20
Crittenton -13
McGuire -10

Easily the most embarrassing effort I have seen from a Wizards team in a while.

Ball watching, no box out, confusion, these guys can't get the most fundamental things right. What the **** is Tapscott doing in practice with those guys???

Can somebody tell me what EG is seeing in Pecherov? We traded Walker to hold onto that stiff?

The talent on this team just isn't that good. I don't think its always coaching, sometimes it players. McGee, Young and Pech, who had decent games against NJ are a combined 2-12, and Jamison's passing the ball pretty well. Also ditto on the Bill Walker comment, I really would have liked to keep that guy, I think he'll make a decent pro, and you're right Pech looks like crap tonight.

The young guys don't look like they want to even be there right now. Downright embarrassing. I expect Nick to be benched for the second half. AJ, as good as he's looked offensively, has been killed my KMart and the Birdman.

I can't hate on Pech too much, he needs to calm down. He's getting the shots he wants. At least he hustles for rebounds.

I agree on the talent level. What I simply cannot wrap my head around is the lack of desire those guys are showing.

You don't need to be gifted to do the little things. Chris Anderson is a perfect example.
