The Rules

Here's the deal - after each win, we'll have a player of the game thread. You post the top 3 performers (1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place). The top-3 vote-getters will receive points...

1st place = 3pts
2nd place = 2pts
3rd place = 1pt

At the end of the season, I'll tally up the point totals and put it into a thread. We should have a good idea of who was the most valuable player, at least according to Wizards fans. :D

The poll winner is for posterity only. It has no affect on the recorded winner. If you want your vote to count, post the top-3 performers.

1st DMac
2nd AJ
3rd Songaila

DMac was incredible defensively. He was credited for 3 blocks but he had at least 4. And he held Vince Carter in check all game. I absolutely love his innate ability to time his jump perfectly - whether it's for a blocked shot or a rebound. He is such an incredibly quick leaper.

AJ had a terrible start, going 0 for his first 6. He went 10-13 after than while pulling down 12 boards. Jamison showed more agility and overall SF skills than I recall in a long time. I really liked the play on the fast break were he crossed up Bobby Simmons (I think) an then took it to the rack.

Songaila's shot tonight was money. And his on/off differential led the team.

Honorable mention goes to Andray Blatche. He was terrible in his first stint in the game when he started pressing too much and forcing turnovers. I think he was 1-6 with 1 board and 2 assists after his first 8 minutes. He really righted himself in the 2nd half and did what he was supposed to do, scoring 7 points and grabbing 8 boards in his next 12 minutes of action.

1st - DMac
2nd - AJ
3rd- James

Gotta credit James here. For most of the year he's been utterly useless offensively except for hitting threes. Tonight, especially in the 2nd half, he did a great job of attacking the lane and getting layups. Wish we could see more of that from him rather than just jacking up jumpers.

You forgot to add Butler's 6TO. Geez, he has been a TO machine lately.

Dmac
AJ
Blatche

Tough call between James and Blatche, but Blatche came in when the Nets took the lead when Lopez was dominating Songaila and him and Dmac basically sprung our huge 3rd quarter run.
