You do know that having the worst record gives us very little chance at landing Blake Griffin right? Our position is fine, and could be improved a bit.

Just because Stern fixed the lottery last year it doesn't mean he won't do it again. We would have better odds with the worst record but IMHO it doesn't matter Griffin will land with the Thunder.

Tankscott not having James to mis-use last-night threw a wrench in the works, we're still in the hunt for Griff though.

Jamison got his and the Wizards won, but the sub still didn't make sense to me.

It seemed to me that Tap liked the McGee-Cardinal matchup, but didn't want him out there against Smith or Love.

If you were dying, and the doctor said that medicine X would give you a 25% chance to live and medicine Y an 18% chance, you wouldn't say "Eh, just grab whatever is on the lower shelf", right? Odds may be slim no matter where we land, but why not try for the best of those slim odds?

I heard the same thing but when Buck said Eddie, I'm pretty sure he meant
Tapps. And in the interview, Tapps gave a very political nuanced answer about
coaching next year.

Fear not, I would be VERY surprised if ET was the coach next year. Hell will
freeze over before EJ is re-hired here as Wiz coach.

Remember the weighting of the lotto only incrementally improves as you
approach being the worst team in the league. The significant part is where
you end up if not in the top 3. How many teams behind you, pass you.
And that's either completely random or completely up to David Stern
depending on your world view.

Haven't had a chance to post until now, but I'm rather curious. Did it seem to anybody else that Caron Butler played with a lot more explosion than we've seen from him at any other point so far this season.

Granted, the time off certainly may have been a factor, but it just seemed to me like he was moving much quicker than usual.

I think the guys guarding him were just slower than most nights.
