looked at the box score, saw the number 41 under minutes and was all, goldurn it, tankscott played AJ more than 40 minutes AGIN... oops, that's McGuire!!! 7 boards and 7 assists, nice. We'll ignore the little donut on points there.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

It was nice having a game where the young players could get some burn. Caron and DSong out and yet the Wizards were still right in the game, which is pretty impressive.

Crittenton continues to impress me with his well-rounded game (minus a jumpshot, which will come in time - especially with Hoopla).

If Mike James is the back-up point guard over Critt next year I will be quite infuriated.

I think that only happens if Tapscott is head coach next year...meaning it won't happen.

Pretty much every other coach (EJ most likely included) would have Crittenton over James in any rotation.

You just can't ignore the donut in points. If DMac doesn't make himself somewhat of an offensive threat out there, he hurts the team more than he helps IMO. He rebounds and scores well, but he's far from a lockdown defender and he can't score. Those are legitimate concerns IMO.

Well, technically speaking, if he got seven assists, it's not like he's completely invisible on offense.

I agree %100. In the future, every guy on the floor HAS to be a threat to put-up points, its the difference in close games like this.

Good game to watch tonight, young guys got some good burn tonight. Perfect blueprint for a tank game in my opinion stay in the game down to the wire and lose so the youngins get more expierence with he game on the line.

Even though Nick Young's shot weren't going down I like how he varied up his offense. I also liked seeing him grabbin some boards, dropping dimes, and made a big shot down the stretch. Dom had solid assist and rebounding numbers, and played some good defense at times. His ineffectiveness on offense I think has a lot too do with his unselfishness, which shouldn't be frowned upon on this team, and at the same time I think he needs to be a bit more agressive especially when he sees mismatches. McGee was played okay, missed quite a few shots, but overall I don't think he really hurt us or helped us too much. OPEC played well, wish he would have got some more burn. He's really starting to look better, little things here and there. Critter was excellent night, he drove the ball and finished really well tonight. Im telling you when he's drives effectively we are so much better as a team, thats what we miss with Arenas. Oh yeah Crit added 7 rebs and 5 ast to boot. Blatche played well with a solid 15 and 13, kid has some nice baseline moves for a bigman.

As for the grown ups Jamison was a warrior tonight, thought he shot a few too many threes but other than that I have not complaints for him. James is totally being misused at this points. First off he should be coming off the bench, Crit should be starting. Secondly I think we should play him in a Vinny Johnson Light compacity only give him more the 15 mpg when he's shooting well, because when he's off he kills us. Dixon played okay while he played in the first half.

Overall we didn't play to bad in any aspect of the game, they just came up with a few more plays in the end. Good tank loss again. I'm getting excited about the team again with a potential top 3 pick, with Haywood and Arenas coming back any day now, and all the youngsters showing they all can be special in different capacities.

Jamison is carrying us on offense.

And McGee is in the game late in the 4th, so I'm in 7th heaven.

Perfect.

One more loss before GA returns.

This will be great motivation for the summer and next year when we have plenty of paybacks.

Crit can obviously drive. He just needs to add a shot. 18 pts 5 assts 7 rebounds. Who was saying he can't play ? People need to get a grip. He is young, inconsistent and without a completely rounded game. That doesn't made him bad. We have a lot of young players like that. They will come off the bench and keep improving. This should be a big summer for our team.

Blatche had an amazing line. Perfect for him. He started off really active.

NY still working on being consistent. At least he had some rebounds and assists. NY with a rebound and assist in one play. That may be a first.

OP was really effective in limited minutes.

Only real downer for the game was McGee taking a dump.

Add some starters like GA, CB and Haywood to the effert from these other players and you have a pretty decent team.

AJ just filled up the stat line tonight.

Out for the game.
DSong, CB, GA, Haywood, Etan, DS, and Dixon part of the game.

What are you'll talking about.

He was 2 for 2 from 3 in the first quarter and 3 for 7 for the game with 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

The man isn't a PG.

I'm not even a big Mike James fan but tonight isn't the game to bitch about him.

got to attend last night

agree with this and most of the other comments I've read so far.

figures that as soon as I said DMac, McGee, Blatche and Young were playing
well but Critt wasn't that Critt would break out and have a decent or even good
game while DMac would get shut out; Blatche would show ALL the inconsistency
that characterizes his play in the same game; Young got a start and didn't break
double figures until a desperation (but timely) 3 at the end.

I noted that we were doing a fantastic job on Gordon at one point in the second
quarter when he scored his first basket. Ty Thomas looked awful for most of the 1st half.
Noah struggled. Then in the second half they all did better.

There was an autograph session afterwards with Juan and Dom.
They seemed to get a kick out of the poster presentation that my
younger (not with me last night) daughter made for school.

And inbetween the 3rd/4th Q, that amazingly nice looking Autria (blond chick
that does the fan stuff during the game) picked me (with my completely stupid
Wiz Wig) to do the fan contribution to the break entertainment which was
what part of DC do you like best. My answer, it being 2 days after completing
my 29 marathon, I said the finish line of the National Marathon. My older daughter
said the Spy Museum.

Great game as far as I'm concerned. Crit broke out at SG. Nick hit a big shot. Blatche hit the boards. McGuire with boards and assists. McGee bounced back.

No Darius and yet the Wizards don't get killed as bad as they've been getting killed of late.

Nice game.

I was disappointed by Blatche in spite of the solid numbers.
He was like the best player on the court in the firstQ, then basically
squat after that.

Dom was OK. Except for not scoring. At all.

McGee barely scored as well.

But a tanktastic loss with Gil's possible return on the horizon.

I saw that. nice wig. you've gotten some quality jumbotron minutes this year. Must be a policy - giving the older guys a lot of minutes.

wear a stupid wig, get on the jumbotron

have a cute daughter that also wears a wig, or an attractive wife
who your daughter talks into wearing a Gil jersey, get a VIP upgrade.

<BG>

next year when we win 50 games, it won't be that easy. I hope I hope
(after renewing for a full season package, me and proof'll be neighbors).
Hopefully we'll be selling out 1/3 to 1/2 the games and I can cherry
pick which games to go to while recouping a significant portion of
my costs.

(wishful thinking perhaps....OTOH, if they are winning that much, I might
just go to at least 30 games).
