fish-

I'm feeling real depressed right now. So far, Shaq has been moved to Cleveland, Vinsanity goes home to Orlando and Amare may be moved to a number of teams.

and for a very tradable asset (#5 pick) we got...

wait for it

Mike MIller and Randy Foye

Ugh. The Eastern Conference rich got richer and we get another 1st round exit.

Where's that Fire Ernie Thread???

mohammed10, I think most of the posters here just want to keep hope alive but to me the lack of imagination, giving away a pick, grabbing mediocre vets and thinking this mediocre offensive team has the goods to be a threat all makes me think hope's all this team has.

Other teams and other GMs are doing war dances and running rings around Ernie IMO. He's conservative and content.
Bye bye Beal.

CCJ, Battie can be traded by himself immediatly. He is not allowed to be traded with another player for two months. The Nets actually would probably do a James for Battie swap without the 32. The Nets need a backup PG, and they have Boone and Lopez at Center, along with Williams and Yi at PF.

Let's get Battie from the Nets, then.
Bye bye Beal.

CCJ- I could not agree with you more. I think the Wiz power brokers are content to simply be in the playoffs. No aspiration to WIN anything.

And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

I'd deal for Battie. His shot was off in the playoffs but with regular playing time I think he can still be effective.

I'd trade James + #32 for Battie without hesitation. Battie is a pretty good role playing big man. He can play center and he has a pretty good 18-foot jumper. Indeed, he'd be the kind of guy that we could use to counter Shaq. Battie could draw Shaq out of the paint and has the size to at least get in his way on defense. If nothing else, he's 6 extra fouls to throw at Shaq.

Nate already started a new thread so I'll lock this one.
