He doesn't need basketball training, he needs a head doctor.

Hell of a gamble they made. Big risk when you are betting on stupid.

Like Forest said. Stupid is and stupid does.

And that is why they call him, The Big Tease.

Sounds like a soundbite that could be coming from Flip Saunders if he was still coaching this team.

Around these parts that sort of comment was qualified as borderline abusive. The more things change the more they stay the same..
..let's keep in mind that while the Wizards were trading for Okafor and Ariza, giving away a draft pick and cap room, bypassing the free agent market and rejecting a trade for Harden, Leonsis was publicly congratulating himself for being smart. - Nivek

I wonder why this is true. Perhaps he was out of shape like other NBA players like Lamar Odom. Or just playing with a team where Blatche doesn't have to relied for his scoring with Wiliams, Lopez, and Johnson or grabbing boards with Wallace and Evans. Or maybe he's not talking as many 20 footers. Or getting cut served as a wake up call or motivation to get his act together especially since few teams pursued him once he was amnestied.

Is there any scenario that Blatche could have produced this kind of play with the Wizards or was he simply a lost cause? A lot of people have criticized Ernie but many were on board with letting Blatche go- people were comparing having him or Kwame Brown when they amnestied him.

Well at least Martell Webster is playing well and even the Oka/rizza tandem as of march.

Good for Dray. But I am ecstatic that he is gone. I think this is a win-win situation.

JaVale McGee, outspoken mother to get reality show

You wanted more JaVale McGee, you got him.

McGee is one of the NBA’s best athletes but is as capable of making a head-scratching decision on the court as he is making your jaw drop with this athleticism. His mother — a former college player at USC — is an outspoken defender of her son. McGee can stand is own ground, too.

So, that makes a television show for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), according the Hollywood Reporter. Thanks to CSNWashington.com for finding that.

McGee became synonymous with some of the problems with the Washington Wizards in past seasons — that was a team with a lot of talent and an unprofessional locker room. It’s part of the reason McGee was traded to the Nuggets, where even coach George Karl said, “He’s got to understand that lazy and crazy isn’t going to make it work.” However his teammates like Andre Iguodala has got his back.

McGee with his mother could make good television, JP Finlay says at CSNWashington.com. He explains why.

Pamela McGee made news in D.C. when JaVale played for the Wizards by defending her son’s actions on and off the court…. The term “knucklehead” became synonymous with those Wizards teams, to the point where Pamela McGee spoke with Washington Post columnist Mike Wise to defend her son and tell the world JaVale “is not a knucklehead.”

In reply, Charles Barkley was quoted at the time saying, “I’m so disappointed in JaVale McGee. He has not gotten better as a player. Now, he’s just doing stupid stuff. When your mom has to tell people you’re not a knucklehead, you probably are a knucklehead.”

That sounds like a reality show to me.

The show has potential but will probably never pan out.
