Re: Tracking Former Wizards 2.0
Mason was a very clutch for us last year and a great spot up shooter from anywhere on the court.
Really wish we didn't overpay for DeShawn. It's not like he was getting anything remotely close to what we gave him from anyone else. I would love to have Mason over here over DeBrick.

Sheesh, Mason is playing with arguably the best player in the NBA.

Roger Mason >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DeShawn aka DeBrick aka DeSh*t Stevenson.
I had even said it a few years ago when the Wizards were giving DeCrap that multi-year deal, with a dose of confidence and playing time, Mason could be just as good, if not better than DeShawn.

HAHA!!!! Mason hit a game-winning three-pointer last night against the Clippers. What has DeBrick done for us lately?

I was right there with you Dat. So many people were saying that the deal was fair and that he had earned it. The Wizards bid against themselves and they also gave DeBrickashawn that deal to mollify Gil. Even when Gil is healthy DeBrickashawn is a below average starting 2 guard. He's no more than a decent backup. You don't pay for that level of production at such a high salary. 2 guard is one of the easiest positions to find, yet we paid him like he was a quality reserve.

The beauty of it is that everyone knew the right move was to keep Mason. It's not like a single Wiz fan is surprised at his production. We all knew he'd do exactly what he's doing. And yet, it still happened. We still let him go, and we still threw absurd amounts of money at a AJ and Gil. And that's ignoring how much we overpaid the mostly useless Deshawn Stevenson.

We need to get rid of so many players on this team: Etan, Stevenson, Daniels, Songaila....

Wow, its beginning to look like Mason was the free agent steal of the year.
Well, only behind Dee Brown of course.

Hey guys, just wanna extend my thanks for letting us grab Mason. He's been quite the player, none of us expected him to be THAT good. Once Manu and Parker come back he's gonna give us a pretty solid bench.

We knew what we were losing, but we had already paid Stevenson a lot of money to stink up the joint, and our owner wasn't willing to pay the luxury tax (and lose the luxury tax payment) to re-sign Mason. Spurs are my second favorite team (my wife is from San Antonio), so I am glad that Mason is playing well for you.

Told you so. Most of you were poo pooing the pickup too. You don't deserve him.

Re: Tracking Former Wizards 2.0
Nah, most of us just didn't know anything about the guy. We had high hopes of getting Maggette in the off season so when the name changed to a relatively unknown Roger Mason alot of us were disappointed it wasn't a bigger name. It had nothing to do with Mason as a player. We all gave him the usual respect we give to anyone our management signs/drafts as they usually know what they're doing and once again pop and co. proved to be right.

Roger Mason Jr. just hit a buzzer beating 3 for the Spurs, on Christmas Day vs the Suns. I yelled out in celebration anyway, even though he's not on the Zards anymore.

Roger Mason does it again on national tv.
Game-winning and-1 shot.
Also did a good job covering Kobe.
