Loved Ariza, I'm sad to see him no longer on the Wizards but am glad he's doing well. He's Daryl Morey's wet dream.

As with everything in the NBA, it's probably a good idea to temper enthusiasm -- both in praising guys and in blasting them. We're still in Small Sample Size Theater, and will be for at least another week or so. At the team level, things stabilize for most teams at 20-25 games. At that point, most teams are within 2 points of their end of season offensive and defensive efficiency ratings.

I don't think the same kind of research has been done on individual players, but 500 minutes is usually my cut-off mark when looking at end of year numbers. Someone on a message board YEARS ago (this was at the old bskball -- now Hoopsworld) said he'd done some work suggesting that individual per minute numbers typically stabilized around 150 minutes. So far this season, only 9 players have 150 or more minutes.

Patience.

I'm not sure if Ariza can keep it up at this pace, but he doesn't appear to be a contract year player that a lot of people made him out to be. When he has talented guys around him he plays well (the Lakers, the Wizards, the Rockets 2.0), when he doesn't he struggles (The Rockets 1.0, the Hornets 2.0)

Someone said a few weeks ago that I should change my avatar. I think I'll keep it.

TS% up at .656, ORtg 125, WS/48 .153. DReb% also way up.

Price sure did light it up. Trey Burke and Dante Exum combined for 8 points with 17 shots taken. Price scored 22 on just 12 shots.

Price, SMH, still don't understand why we had to ditch him and overpay Maynor for two years.

So glad this clown isn't a Wizard. As much as I don't love Nene, he gets high marks for not being Javale McGee.

Wasn't Mcgee supposed to break out after getting away from the Wizards? Looks like the only time he gets any national attention is during Shaqtin a Fool.

McGee's sixth year in the league, and the only redeeming qualities about his game are still run and jump.

He still has no idea where to be out on the floors (offense or defense) and STILL can't be counted on to do something as basic as box out.

Javale is stealing money, glad the Wizards didn't end up being the suckers to extend him.

Yeah, contrary to what some have said on this board, the Wizards haven't had an issue with properly developing players. They have had a problem with picking them to begin with.

That's right, most of the picks that could have been developed were sold/traded so we will never know. And the draft picks? well..

Amazing. Apart from the colossal Ernie fails, that much maligned draft is turning out to be pretty darned strong.
In Rizzo we trust
