For a guy who's rumored to have one of the biggest playbooks in the NBA, I hope to God what I just witnessed was the table of contents.

This has been my concern with Gilbert still rusty, and it's doubled with Jamison out, and Miller still iffy: we're a jumpshooting team that can't hit three point jumpers... not a recipe for success.

McGee is just an awful defensive player. I don't know what it is. He just does everything wrong. He does know how to crash the offensive glass though.

Blatche is the only glimmer of light this whole game.

Yeah how about 30-52. Why would anybody base their record on a preseason game where they obviously mailed it in during the third quarter. Refs didn't help with tick-tack fouls on M. Miller and Oberto. McGee still looks lost in his second season.

This looks like one of those games where teammates hear bad news about there teammate and come out flat. It also looked like one of those games where the team is just looking for the season to start. Its like when teams lay an egg on the 1st game back from a road trip.

Here are some things I noticed in the limited amount that I watched:

1- Gil is quick but he's still not at that same light super quick level he was at when he was scoring 60 but I like the way he is attacking and he will get better & better as the season goes on.

2- The great thing about Gil is that he's back to going to the basket like he did earlier in his career. Even when he was healthy at the end he stopped driving but he's back doing it and thats great.

3-The bad thing is Gil is still turning down open shots. He use to be money at the 3pt line when he came off the screen. Today I saw Oberto set screens for him at the 3pt line where Gil was wide open and he never even looked at the basket. He just passed it on the perimiter. What made it even worst is that he would get the ball back later in the possesion and take a long contested jumper. It made no sense. Its like he said he's not going to take 3's so he's passing up open 3's and ending up with contested long 2's. I hope he rethinks that.

4- We settled for the J way too much tonight. I hope that doesnt continue. Everyone needs to drive more.

5- We were way too selfish tonight. Everyone was out of sync and going one on one all game. I hope that was just a fluke thing. Everyone was hoging tonight.

6- I hope Flip doesnt go too crazy with the lineups. He's an offensive guy and he shouldnt abandoned the D but dont go too crazy with it either. By that I mean with the AJ injury we cant start Oberto, then have MM get in foul trouble, and we bring in DS. That killed us in the 3rd. We had the lineup of Gil, DS, CB, Oberto, and Wood. Only 2 legit scorers and those 2 were cold. During the seaon I hope he brings in Foye at the 2 if Miller gets into foul trouble. Again, if AJ is playing then you can bring in DS but if its Oberto then you have to bring in Foye if Miller is out.

7- The best thing about this game is that weve bounced back this preseason from every bad game and there is no doubt that these guys will come out with a different mindset and play better in the next game. In some ways its a blessing that we played this bad because you know they will be pumped to play well in that opener.

I am truly worried about the FT's though. I think we may struggle with that for awhile

alot of teams got blown out tonight so Im not tripping. Did anyone see the rookie Johnson come up to Gil after the game and ask him for his jersey? That was cool to see. Alot of the young guys really like Gil. Just like Teauge from Atlanta wearing 0 because of Gil

I just read where Paul Davis might be kept. Change the projection from 30-52 to 52-30. Not even worth analyzing this game. Nobody cared, Gil is coming off the flu and might have been weak. No Derrick Rose. No Hinrich. Hell, how did we lose by 25? Oberto starting doesn't bother me. Blatche will get his run, but Miller has got to be more aggressive offensviely. This folks will take some time so people better not starting jumping off cliffs if we go 4-6 the first 10 because Gil is rusty, Miller and Foye are trying to get in the flow and learn the team and system and Jamison is well not there. That's a huge loss in more ways than one.

I agree about McGee. He is completely, utterly lost on D and his a poor defensive rebounder. He is a liability on the court and I think people who have clamoring for him to get more playing time should begin to understand why its hard to leave him on the court.

Regarding Blatche, he was a glimmer of hope in the 1st quarter, not the whole game. Tonights game is a perfect example of why I'm a Blatche hater. He tantilizes you with some good things for a short period of time and then basically disappears the rest of the game. The thing is people just remember the 5-10 minutes he looked really good and just forget about the 15-20 minutes he did nothing.

where did you read that? I like that he came here for Gil and it would be cool to keep him, atleast for awhile
